- Deterrence reduces the damage from Iron Prison --- You can use Aspect of the Iron Hawk (will be around 10% life) if you want to save your deterrences.(Heroic only).

If you deterrence the Iron Prison (as the debuff fades), you take ZERO (100% negated) dmg.

Sounds correct enough to me. Detterrence removes all dmg taken from Iron Prison, correct. The tip itself sounds right enough, I've missed my detterrence a time or two on Iron Prison, you get down to fairly low HP, but nothing a quick Healthstone can't fix, not sure if other healers besides Pala/Priest can throw absorbs on people, which could lead to the assumption that AotIH was the save.

Exclude absorbs and I took basically 0 damage from it, but Deterrence doesn't "absorb" in a combat log so yeah, looks like it just halfed the damage (386.9k raw dmg taken, half my HP).

Unless I'm mistaken it[posthaste] removes the root only. You still take damage from the [de]buff. [reference to malkorok root+dot debuff]

Wrong. Deterrence deflects 100% of Iron Prison (Not tomb) dmg. aka the 1minute debuff that hits you for 100% physical ignoring armor dmg.

I will at least caveat that I have very good disc priest/paladin healers.. so it is *possible* that deterrence only deflects 50% of iron prison dmg and the shield absorbs have done the rest.
I have NEVER taking any dmg from Iron prison while using deterrence. That is all I can say.

To people saying AMOC doesn't add debuff stacks...
Are you 25man or 10man?

If you are 25man, please hold your comments.. Because the ratio of DPS to #stacks on boss in 10man is much higher. So if you are in 25man.. its very safe to use AMOC.. at worst you'll go to 3 stacks instead of 2.. because the rest of your raid will burn the other stacks off..
But in 10man.. it's TERRIBLE.. you get soo many stacks if you aren't careful, and you simply CANNOT use AMOC (in 10man) because it will continue to refresh and +1 on your stack count.

I raid 10-man and can confirm that AMoC does NOT add stacks on Immerseus now. I can't speak for Dire Beast, as I only use ToTH on Immerseus.

AMoC definitely no longer gives stacks on Immerseus (10 man). Also, Deterrence does NOT negate all the damage from Iron Prison. You must have have a good disc priest like me. I know this because one week he was not able to attend the raid so we had a resto shaman in his place. I most definitely took damage from prison every time, even with deterrence up.

Dire beast doesn't give stacks on immerse either anymore, although you shouldn't be using it for that fight anyway

Yeah, AMoC doesn't give stacks as others have said. If it did I'd probably be getting shit from my healers every week. Judging by this guys answers im gonna say he's Okay v2.
