Really dumb move from Blizz. Not only is that pose not sexual but the complaint against it is basically a complaint about basic human anatomy. We live in a world where women walk around all day in yoga pants and you're really worried about your 'child' (that's bullshit, btw, they are just puritans using 'think of the children' as a cover) seeing a fictional woman's backside? I don't really see the pose as a big problem, but nor is it a big deal that it's getting removed. Like Blizzard said the day they announced OW that their goal was to be progressive and to sexualise their female characters less. So if they actually replace this and we get a badass pose instead of a sexy pose then to me that's great.

Look I know you're whole spiel about how if you don't like sexy video game characters you're being prudish and anti-progressive. But the point is that sexiness should not be the default for female characters. Some characters should be sexy, some should be non-sexualised and some should be at various points in between. And OW is already doing pretty good at that by the way. This is just one tiny tweak.

Like don't get me wrong I love sexy video game characters. Give me sexy male characters, sexy female characters, sexy trans*/pan/intersex/genderfluid/attack helicopter whatever characters. But they should also be more than that and Blizzard is clearly trying to make it so that sexy is not the default character type for their female characters.

If that's the case, why do you even care anymore? You should quit following the game instead of apparently punishing yourself to try and like it... It's like complaining that you're a masochist by that point. If you really don't like it, don't force yourself to remain tied to it and move on. It is, literally, the best way to prove your points on the matter.

As for me, I don't really care about the direction because I don't play the game for sexual/sexualized reasons. I like them, but they aren't directly required to RP in the manners that I do. So, I'll continue playing, funding, and supporting Blizzard as I do. Little things like this, they seriously aren't worth the time to worry about.
