So what will come first. A police shooting based on the person acting like their phone was this gun or a child getting one of these out of mommy's purse and shooting somebody thinking it is a phone?
"Privilege is invisible to those who have it."
Didn't see anyone correct this. I'm pretty sure you need a concealed carry permit to be able to open carry. The point was just to allow people to have their guns visible; the idea wasn't to allow anyone that owns a gun to legally carry it around on their person.
I can't imagine a gun like that being worth a damn. You're responsible for every bullet you fire, even if firing your gun itself was justified. I wouldn't want to be counting on some piece of crap phone gun.
Wait nevermind. I thought this was the smartphone that looks like a gun idea that I saw a few months ago. Which is equally stupid.
You used to call me on your cell phone
Waiting for news article of someone blowing their head off by pulling out the wrong "phone".
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.
Just, be kind.
Way too gimmicky for my taste, and looks to me like it would be a rather slow draw which doesn't help much with protecting yourself in a sudden situation.
Why would someone need a gun that doesn't look like a gun except for noferious reasons?

Mother: I hope you don't mind, I let the baby play with your phone.
Father: But I have my phone in my pocket.
Can't possibly see this backfiring on someone.
Pretty neat! Props to whoever successfully developed the design.
Now, the real question is: how do you detect it?

Doesn't look like it even has an LED screen, so mom should know something's up if the phone is apparently just a black box, therefore no play value, therefore no need to give it to the baby. Mom should know dad has it anyways so no problem.
Real problem is how police will know if that box shaped object that someone is reaching for in their pocket is an smart phone or a weapon. May make cops nervous; they can't needlessly draw their pieces over the mere chance of it being a gun, but they can't risk their lives over the mere chance of it being not so.

Call me on my cell phone

And I know when that hotline bling
That can only mean one thing
*gets shot and dies*
You underestimate the power of stupid people.
Wonder why nobody thought of putting some sort of radio tag on the gun to let police know that a weapon is near by? The kind that can't be removed. You would have to ruin the gun to remove it. I would suggest RFID but we all know how well that technology works.Real problem is how police will know if that box shaped object that someone is reaching for in their pocket is an smart phone or a weapon. Just what you guys need, more guns for "safety".
