Yup. But the truth is they would have to justify to the bean counters why they need to employ so many people to keep vanilla/BC servers running. I think they can to be honest if they keep adding content relevant to Vanilla/BC.

The legal jargon being spewed is quite hilarious. As gamers we should stand together with other gamers. Blizz closing down Nostalrius does nothing but ruin the enjoyment of those playing it. They were not harming anyone, least not Blizzard, who have not offered the service people wish to receive.

You're forgetting that this is just one Vanilla private server. Add up all the Vanilla private servers and you get a clear picture that there is massive demand.

If Blizzard were to release Official Vanilla servers they could get a few million for sure.
