I disagree with most things Blizz said. It's THEIR rights and they can do whatever they want with them, including giving ONE person/business permission to run these servers.
Pristine realms sounds like a bad idea... wow leveling is just so horrible nowadays it wouldn't be a great experience. it'd need to come with an overall world and dungeon mob buff of about 300% to be remotely interesting, and slower leveling so you don't outlevel zones... without any xp boost or heirlooms you still 1-2 shot everything and outlevel zones.
More than anything, the endgame still would be tanaan + lfr..
Oblivious* Spell correct :/
If they dont change the design philosophy none of this will matter.
the legacy server talk is still going on?
god.... people need to learn to move on.

Why not just hire the NOS team to run these servers under Blizzard, they did a damn fine job of running NOS servers.
There is still that content, but it is much less and not necessary to the game like it used to be. You used to need to get a group to even beat simple quest to kill world elite mobs at low levels. You would create friendships that lasted through the game because they weren't on some other server and just matched up for one instance.
People always take the path of least resistance. Making a game hard isn't a bad thing. You act like a challenge is a bad thing, a sense of achievement from completing something difficult is a good thing.
A few talent changes in builds is fine, I agree they weren't the same -- but they were still cookie cutter. Many people never figured them out by their own devices, and ended up either being in the same ball park (a few talent differences generally). I understand there were sub-optimal picks on the more powerful classes, but that still doesn't stop them from being cookie cutter.
