The only caveat I can see is Israel doing some funky shit that gets either Iran (and by extension, Pakistan) involved, which might escalate to Turkey; Or India and Pakistan finally have it out and start lobbing nukes at each other wasting Kashmir, the region that they're fighting over, in the process.

But seriously, our Navy alone guarantees that no one could ever come close to competing with us in a global conflict. The imbalance of power is too great for a "big war" in the foreseeable future. But endless quagmires in majority Muslim countries with no exit strategies? I'm sure we'll find plenty of those.
