Several people have disagreed with a mod and haven't been banned! (Should take a look at the AdBlock thread, some 20+ people chewed the Super Mod out rather aggressively without a ban :< )

Well, do you think my one and only infraction I got for made up reason was legitimate? There's nothing you can do if you get infracted. Fairly or not.

You can get infracted for crazy things. One time this guy made a joke that people responded too semi seriously to. He then wrote 5 paragraphs explaining it was a joke. I said "so you are bad at jokes?" He the wrote another 5 paragraphs so I said the same as before. I was infracted and the mod didn't even have the courage to put it in my post so I have no idea who it was. I tried appealing but it was voted to keep the infraction by a small margin. The Supermod then decided to try and lecture me, I shut that down pretty quick.

Still, simply disagreeing with a mod does not warrant a ban, that's out of debate. Legitimate or not, there's must be some other reason.

Depends on the mod but in May09's case it was probably posting memes.
