From what I have seen, Anti-Trump supporters do these thing en mass and for the most part, are let go. However, the minute a Trump supporter (usually individuals) punches a anti-Trump supporter, they are arrested on spot.

I have never seen an entire group of Trump supporters gather around an anti-trump person and start kicking, shoving, and punching them. Or an entire group of Trump supporters destroy police cars and surround a man an woman in their car pounding on the glass threatening harm to those people, while others vandalize their car and mark it.

Trump supporters hold rallies, anti-trump supporters hold riots and violent (against Trump supporters or police) protests. Then there are rallies, which almost no Trump supporters show up to.

He may have. The convention/protest was in his home town (according to him) so it may be his own brand of protest.

No I did not say they deserve it. I said they are not victims and should stop pretending that they are, they are extremists themselves, and that in turn has spawned extremism from the other side.

Every single time in the past a demagogue has done this and used his or her public profile to incite one faction against another, the other side responds in turn in like minded fashion. It is why nationalism (white nationalism in Trumps case) is such a dangerous ideology. We've seen it play out with disastrous consequences oh so many times. It turns seemingly normal people on both sides into violent extremists.

I only see the Trump protesters acting violently with the occasional Trump supporter. I don't see Trump supporter riots though. Nor do I see Trump supporters going to opposing rallies and causing havoc.
