being able to change on the fly was dual spec, now you can do it, but as a gold sink it costs

No idea why that's so hard to understand.
Did they keep the solid 100g , or did they change the requirement?

Dual Spec is still there. It just costs something to switch, right now the price is at a level where there has been some *uproar*. I don't know if it's placeholder but you can still actually change specs. It's more likely it has to do with the whole Artifact and Blizz Devs(Not Jay Wilson specifically so let go of your hate boner for him) wanting to focus on one spec.

So it's like vanilla(which didn't have dual spec) just don't have to see a trainer.

edit - that sounds like single spec you can change for a cost but don't have to see physically go to a trainer, not dual spec.

/sighs. Dual specs purpose was to stop you having to go to a trainer to repsec, not to remove a gold sink. Right now the game needs them with all the inflated gold value...

It would really suck if all of these newbs had their free month elapse before even the prepatch :/

I also imagine it would be really confusing to be a new player on your free month and then have your entire class change halfway through because the pre-patch dropped lol

/sighs. Yet the gold sink being removed was a big part of it.... for 6 years.

That isn't reward structure, thats design, but it was already clarified so idc.
and a specific type of quest goal
No, it isn't reward structure, but it doesn't have anything to do with World Quests in relation to others, either. Fill the Bar is a potential goal for a quest, like "kill x y", "go to z" or "escort a".

No, Dual Spec is gone. You can just switch to any spec on the fly but have to pay if it isn't your primary, i.e. they removed the need to go to your trainer to respec.

You'd be better off arguing the gold sink part would be better elsewhere and not on dual spec. The whole "IT's been there for 6 years" isn't a good argument.

That tells me you can still move from spec to spec but this argument is really moot.

That was never the intention, it was a convenience thing, not a "I never have to spend gold" thing.

I'm surprised Blizzard even still has Blizzcon, people want them to be transparent but when they try to be transparent by talking about things that might not end up being in the game at places like Blizzcon, people proceed to quote back on them and then talk shit.

You could do that before dual spec existed. Dual spec didn't introduce the ability to switch specs, it introduced the ability to do it for free and without the need for a trainer.

Well regardless, I don't see much of a point to this. I'd focus more on making more bigger gold sinks, not put it in where specs are changed.

And yet it is... again, what you are argueing in legion is we have 1 spec we have to spend gold to change, not dual spec, not tri spec, single spec. But it was a placeholder and might be gone anyways so it doesn't matter. either way, Fuck that Loser.

People want them to comment the stuff they are making to provide information, kind of like GC did, they are doing the opposite.

They should remove the spec cost, or just keep dual spec. in and then have that other thing.

The purpose was to allow you to switch roles out in the world or in raids. That functionality has been improved by allowing you to do ALL SPECS AND TALENTS.

Thats only really an improvement if you have a need for 3 specs. Personally, I'd much prefer two specs I can freely swap between on the fly vs 3 that I have to pay for. I doubt I'm alone there since I imagine theres a ton of tanks/healers who are swapping many times a day between their main spec for group content and a dps spec for solo/farm.

Then you can count on one less tank in any queue, or you (general you) can pay the cost of my swapping to and from, each time.

Same here. Why the hell wants Blizzard to punish people who want to help their raid?
Atoms are liars, they make up everything!
