John Kasich to Drop out of Presidential Race

    Source: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/p...ign/83913370/#

Ohio Gov. John Kasich will end his Republican presidential bid, according to a source close to the decision. Earlier Wednesday, Kasich canceled a scheduled press conference in Washington, D.C., with the campaign saying he would make a statement at 5 p.m. in Columbus.

I love how I popularized popcorn... they owe there stock increase to me!

OT: I saw a similar story not long ago from bloomberg, it looked like he was going to speak in Ohio while the RNC wanted Unity. So its unknown whats up yet, but I feel it is likely.

Well, they were saying he was broke anyways. So even if Cruz hung around, I think he was gone. With Cruz out, there is just no reason for Kaisch to hang around

The choices for President of the United States are a man who was created by meme magic, and a woman who killed a Something Awful moderator. What a time to be alive.

Kind of irrelevant at this point anyway. He's mathematically eliminated and there is almost no conceivable realistic way that the GOP would pick Kasich in a brokered convention.

I always kinda wondered what his motivation for running even was -- I'm guessing some sort of brand buildup as the moderate face of the GOP for some future runs either more locally or for 2020?

Correct me if I am wrong, but there won't be a convention anymore? There is only one dude left running.

    Or am I wrong?

Technically yes, if Trump doesn't manage to get the final 200~ delegates when he's running against no one it would go up for vote.

Not so surprising. Honestly, I expect the same to happen at the global elections. Trump will win against Hilary no doubt - the only real challenger Trump could've had would've been Bernie. Sadly, Democrats decided to play it safe - and it's going to play against them.

[...] we have an intolerance for ideas and evidence that don’t fit a certain ideology. I’m also not saying that we should restrict people to certain gender roles; I’m advocating for quite the opposite: treat people as individuals, not as just another member of their group (tribalism)..

It's weird how each party has chosen the most polarizing and most unfavorable (in terms of polling) candidate to represent them in the general.

Vote for what? Nominating trump or.... the imaginary state puff marshmellow?

I'm not a political expert so I have no idea how this particular part works.
