Oh, on a (mostly) different note, do you know if Warlocks can learn the 2H weapons usable by our Felguards?

We cannot equip them, therefore we cannot learn them ourselves.
Though I would have hoped that the felguard would draw upon any eligible weapons from the wardrobe collection.
I suspect blizzard have not thought of that, or do not deem it important enough.

There are some white items which have been eligible for transmog in the past.
A vendor in Icecrown sold some for instance.
I shall look up those items, plus other white items such as shirts.

No items currently equippable by warlock which I created, most likely will create warrior to test those.
Though I am not sure how they would be bound to the character to make them eligible.

What was said during blizzcon is irrelevant, as it has been shown quite clearly that statements there were incomplete, and therefore open to other interpretations which proved wrong.


Going by that line in the patch notes a warrior should be able to collect cloth appearances, but that has been specifically stated to not be the case.
So you can't use the patch notes either for that argument, as that statement is very wrong.

We already know plate can only unlock plate, leather only unlock leather, etc.

So, until further solid info, Every quest completed prior to 7.0 will unlock every piece the quest offers, regardless of who completed.

If appropriate gear rules apply(after 7.0 its understandable), they can f themselves because doing loremaster more than once is a bitch. lol

Someone somewhere I can't remember (reddit?) said that the opposite faction recolors for WoD pvp gear were no longer available on the vendors, is this true?

Do I really gotta farm this gear on each class for each faction. It's simple to do but so time consuming... Edit: I'm dumb and just realized there's class-less versions of each set. Still.

Going to add something here, cause it would be misleading to the one you answered to.

If you got the Tier (class especific item) you won't unlock the same look on another character that uses the same armor type even if there exist a look-alike of that item, cause that item is class especific, so you would need the look-alike item to unlock it in the other character.

I'm playing as a pally doing quests as prot. Will I still unlock mog for Ret/Holy?

One polearm I came across had agil and int on it (Hunter weapon from BC). Since I can use it will it still go into the wardrobe if deleted? Or should I hold onto it because of the funky stats?

Wait, if you have any Hunter item, you won't get the appeareance if you delete it pre-Legion, you have to keep all the items until Legion comes out (or the prepatch -That would depend if the Pre-patch got the new transmog system -i assume it will-)

Sorry I should of specified, the polearm in question was a quest reward. I understand that you have to hold onto any raid drops, BOEs etc until the pre patch.

Ah, well... i'm not completely sure, but i think, as long as you can equip it, it will be unlocked (when it comes to weapons as quest rewards)

The stats are on BoE as you can equip it.
You can currently transmog intellect plate for instance on a warrior, and that is not going to change.
Proficiency is what matters, in can you equip that weapon and is that armor type the one you are meant to be wearing.

I can transmog the Footman's Longsword with attack power on my warlock, but only if I have the required honored reputation with Honor Hold.
The stats are irrelevant.

Basically you can answer a lot of questions by looking at how it functions now.

Could you use that item for transmog now ?
Then you can in virtually all cases use it later - one exception I have come across, I suspect just an omission is the Brunnhildar Weapons sold in Icecrown, which currently remain common and non-binding.

The bold. For quests that offered armor and weapon choices not related to your class, those will not unlock.

For the feral/guardian artifacts, does transmogging them give old druid forms too, and can you transmog them differently from each other? I heard that a lot of the dual wield artifacts take up a single slot.

This is one of the worst ideas they ever added imo. In theory it's good, but for collectors, this means hundreds, maybe thousands of hours farming stuff to complete your wardrobe. Not to mention the gold you have to pay on AH for insanely rare or unobtainable items.

This will also increase ninjaing ALOT. People taking stuff to their wardrobe that are otherwise useless to them, statwise etc.

What? A thing that makes old content relevant and gives us stuff to do is bad? One doesn't have to run out and do it all at once you do realize that right? When one is bored or during content droughts one can do this. This player base never ceases to amaze me with thier whinning. Just unbelievable.

You should get everything you can equip from that quest.

IIRC the vendors in Warspear are not completly updated, there is still a vendor for Elite, from what i assume that this npc will probably get replaced by the S3 (recolor) gear.

The final reward is technically two different quests, one that rewards swords and one that rewards maces. I did it two times on a sword user and a non-sword user to hopefully unlock all of the appearances.

Not totally sure, but i believe you learn the tabards as you would learn a mount, and when you select it, the tabard is automatically equipped and from the tabard slot in your character sheet you can use it (if it have an use option)
