I'm pretty sure that dark skinned mage was real actor not Toby. For what reason they will use CGI to create human character? It would look fling strange on the screen. There was no such character yet. I have a theory now that Toby played more or less young Antonidas in Medivh flashback. The general audience will hardly notice the fact that actor played two different characters.

    Makeup, not CGI.

If my 'precious' is all fantasy and scifi movies, ok sure. I didn't realize they needed to be defended, but ok. Continue making yourself look silly! How ironic making a LotR reference while trying to insinuate that movies 'for nerds' need to be made special to not tank. What a majestic argument you have woven.

Idk. I see them in those comparison shots almost 1:1. That actually blew me away more than any footage I've seen. Listening to ILM and Duncan talk about their mandate not to animate and change the facial acting, then seeing their facial acting...this is just an extension of the good work Serkis started and has continued for years.

I can't remember who it was, but there was an actor talking about MoCap being even more liberating as a performer than anything to come before. Even in prosthetics, you are limited in species and a lot of times gender, but with mocap and the advances in that tech you can start to become anything. It also highlights how much acting is done with the face, which we often don't notice in 'normal' movies.

    That'd be neat.

Let's say they try to keep the same actors for the sequels for CGI roles, even if their previous characters die.

Who would you like Clancy Brown or Anna Galvin to play? Or Toby Kebbell if Thrall isn't an adult yet?

I think Clancy Brown should play Rend Blackhand. He would resemble his father, but the CGI could make him look younger and unique.

That's not fair, everyone has an opinion, nobody is truly objective.

The problem with IGN isn't that they aren't objective, it's that they're inconsistent. They try to keep a corporative image, where there is only one review for each game, but each reviewer values completely different things. They also make a lot of advertisement deals, which always gets in the way of neutrality, even when you try to remain professional, which they don't even always do.

If they made it clear who is reviewing which genres and platforms and the users could easily choose the one they trusted the most to get their information, it would be a much more transparent site, but as it is, they just aren't a reliable source of information.

Yeah, fans are voting 10s so that trolls don't ruin the movie by voting 1s. Don't look too much at the score and wait for proper reviews.

It's not a question of fairness, it's actually the requirement of the profession. The people in IGN are opinion makers, not journalists.

Trolls and bots. IMBD system is awful, voting before the movie is even out throughout the world.
