Oh I know. But the similarities are numerous and well known. So despite the time,
his story very much looks like a rip off of one of the most successful franchises of
all time. (Similarly to how people are looking at random things DC does in live-action
and calling them Marvel rip offs, despite often coming first in the comics.)
After seeing the German review thing... it makes me scared. I know he is probably bs, but if this dude says THUMBS UP for Alice, and Alice was horrible apparently, then... how horrible could Warcraft be?
I mean just imagine if it turns out bad... those early screenings could all just be... people without taste, heck would I know?
I guess all I can do is be excited to watch it myself and then I can judge it myself. Then I wouldn't care what reviewers said.
I really do hope for at least an 7,5/10!
If he gave Alice a thumbs up he's probably a terrible reviewer.
Wish Blizzard could do more for this movie's marketing. They're still great at creating
hype... the action figures below are around 18 feet tall.
These are in Hollywood and Paris; Pharah is gonna be unveiled in Busan.Originally Posted by Box Backs

Right in front of me and my friends?! HOW DARE THEY! They better not be tall >:I
It's also a sort of reversed story of King Artur. The name is blatantly similar.
He's also quite similar to Elric from Moorcock's novel, another ruler wielding a rune sword (Stormbringer), betrayer of his own land and cursed by said blade.
On the end of the day, there's no thing like "rip-offs" but numerous influential sources that people condense into their own shit. This was pretty much the entire pattern of fiction's history, Blizzard just do it a bit more than others even though they do well enough in create something that looks almost original.

This guy=better than the whole Warcraft movie marketing team
World of Warcraft: Shadowblands
Diablo Bore.
Tirion from GoT may be from The Silmarillion i think, G.R.R Martin is a declared fan of Tolkien, perhaps Tirion from Warcraft is also from Silmarillion.
There is a city in Valinor with this name https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tirion

Someone posted a still of Ironforge on reddit and I noticed something I hadn't noticed before, there's an orc standing on the cliff.
Maybe I was the only one that hadn't noticed that before though
Doubt it. Looks more like a mountaineer actually.

Both of them watched press screening too so i wonder were these smiles fake or they genuinely happy to talk with the director of the good movie they liked. Dennis always was skeptical towards WCM.
Also really cool impression stuff from TradeChat starting from 41 min. Info on few characters, famous trolls attacking SW scene, tone of the movie and so on.

It's a shame they didn't include them in the final cut. It would add some substance to the trio of Lothar, Medivh, Llane and would be a great opening sequence for the humans.
