But when Bernie tells his supporters that voting for Hillary is the best way to get his ideals moving forward, a large number will listen. It's not hard to paint Trump as the opposite of what Bernie stands for.
Bernie supporting Hillary would be him betraying all of his promises and ideals, and going back on all of his words and pretty speeches. Do you honestly think people will do any of what he says if he disappoints them like that? Hillary is the most hated Democratic candidate in history, and if Bernie supporters get pissed off at Bernie - which they absolutely, undeniably will if he starts campaigning for Hillary - then they'll absolutely stay at home, or even more of them will go out and vote for Trump out of spite.

Bernie campaigning for Hillary would be the dumbest thing he could ever do, and if he ends his political career supporting a complete corporate whore and monster of a human being, then good riddance.

What? How can you even say that when Bernie has ALREADY said that he would support her if she's the nominee.

Hillary is the most hated Democratic candidate in history
Just as long as we're being reasonable about it.

So let me get this right. If Bernie tears down Hillary and keeps attacking her you are saying that more of his supporters will vote for her than if he campaigns for her?

Bernie campaigning for Hillary would be the dumbest thing he could ever do, and if he ends his political career supporting a complete corporate whore and monster of a human being, then good riddance.
Somehow I don't think you are looking at this with anything resembling a reasonable viewpoint. You DO realize that Bernie is running as a democrat, right?

I am a democrat who gave a vote for Bernie and even I think this is some extremist level stuff right here. At this point what is the difference between the cults of personality between Bernie and Trump at this point?

I heard Trump pussied out already. He said he wants Bernie to raise $10 million for women. It's funny cause last time Trump mixed debates and fundraising he raised $6 million for vets, but he kept the money for his own campaign. You'd think fucking veterans out of millions of dollars would ruin a republican candidate, but not Trump his supporters don't care.

Win/win for both. Bernie makes Hillary look like a clown and a coward while Trump can treat Bernie well and appeal directly to Bernie voters(aka blue collar dems) and make Hillary look irrelevant. Also both doing it for charity boosts their positives.

Trust me on this as I work for the dod but the republicans who work in my building are very aware of that issue. Say what you want about trump but there are two groups of people that are traditionally republicans he is making mad this time around: Mormons and Military administration/contractors (which could be interesting because viringia is a battleground state and they have significant sway there)

Stupid for Trump -- he could potentially have a lot to lose and regardless of whether or not Bernie looks good or bad, it's not likely to affect Hillary much.

Trump also needs to realize that Bernie is never going to run 3rd party. Bernie has already made statements that after the convention he's going to put all his support behind Hillary. He got what he wanted -- a seat at the table to draft the party platform. The Democratic civil war is almost over.
Don't kid yourself... Dump knows Bernie won't win the primary - this is going to be a car-salesman pitch to woo Bernie supporters. He'll bash Clinton while praising Bernie for "standing up against the establishment" trying to convince Bernie fans that Dump is the same as Bernie...

I think trump might be a genius. Don't get me wrong I don't like him but still he has gotten the whole "right" to like him I think he would debate bernie and agree with him on alot of issues taking votes from hillary from the trump supporters. Can't Stump The Trump.

If he agrees with him on a lot of issues, everything on Trump's policy page would be counter to his new stance. If current rhetoric continues into that debate, Bernie will stick to the issues and Trump will ignore it, say he is rich and claim he won. Not that either would hinder his support... At this point, I believe Trump can take a shit directly on the faces of his supporters and their reply would be somewhere between "I'm a loser, he deserves to do it" and "I needed shit on my face, otherwise I wouldn't have a need to clean it".

No, he has done it before in around an hour on meet the press.

He isn't even backing out. He is just saying he would only do it if it generated 10-15 million for charity. He claims that he knows TV well enouph to get that money. He now can just blame the media for not donating to charity...

Hillary is pure establishment, the face of "The System": there might be some mileage in the idea that anyone who wants to vote against the system might end up choosing Trump over her

It's an interesting calculation, especially if you believe (or his team believes) he can't win without doing something like this, in which case he has nothing to lose
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm agreeing with Xarim.

Trump will try to come across as a solutions-driven populist while painting Sanders' policies as unrealistic. If he has a soft touch he will either appeal to Sanders voters or appeal to mainstream voters as a political moderate (compared to Sanders).

That isn't going to work too well for him, since Trumps main thing is kicking 11 million people out of the country and building a wall. Both of which don't fit into the realm of realism.

Still afraid that Trump will win, huh?

So now you have switched to recognizing that he is a genuine threat in the hopes that more people will rise up against him.

    So predictable.

I understand where that paranoia is coming from. I see you.

Sexism is defined as regarding one sex as inferior. Now this has been redefined by Communists in sheep's clothing in order to silence their enemies. Ivanka Trump is a feminist. Trump has employed women, and no one has proved that Trump is truly sexist by my definition.

I thought you believed in evidence and proof? Stop this.
