ya overwatch women don't look "slooty" in any real really they show very little skin and just having a skin suit really a big deal.

BLIZ is protecting their IP by sending out DMCA notices against people who used DIRECT-FROM-GAME rips to create their models. They are not fighting some war on porn. And EVERY female character in the history of mainstream gaming just about, has a huge collection of porn dedicated to her. D.VA is highly attractive, so this is no shock.

So in your opinion, women shouldn't dress like they are confident with their body? They should hide their curves and everything else? What is this, moral order? That is not feminism, that is oppression of women body. If I'm ever to have a daughter one day, I will be more than happy to have role models for her like those characters. Models would will tell her that she can be whatever she wants to be, without having to bother about what other people would think.

D.Va is Blizzard way of saying: you can be a sexy girl playing video games and speaking with nerd slang and there is no problem about it. I think that in terms of image, that is way better than a covered woman from head to feet that stay modest and don't say anything....

And there is so many others women characters in this game: Angel and Mei are top-notch scientists, Tracer is a witty, funny and courageous girl that try to make the good around her, Zarya is a strong woman who still stays feminine, Widowmaker is a cold-hearted killer that is only concerned about her mission (it's not like she's is using her looks as her main weapon), Symettra is an autistic genius and D.Va a sexy and cute geek that wants to protect her country.

In the end, it is not Blizzard who focus on their looks. It's all those critics that limits them to that. And that is stupid, in my opinion.

that is the dumbest thing ive ever heard, ya no sexuality doesn't effect children subconsciously `like that no sane person child or other wise plays a game and thinks that all women should be running around in skin tight suits.

Love the double-standard here. It's so blatant! You say violence in video games won't affect children because they know it's not real. But the women in the game somehow become real when they put on a sexy outfit?

    I call bullshit.
It's simple. Everyday they are going to see at least one woman. They aren't going to witness murders. Therefore, it is the sexualization that influences them more.

It is just that at one point, you can't just jump in a bandwagon withouth trying to understand all aspects of a matter. And you should speak with women feminists and try to understand the world by their eyes, not just by what is said on the Internet.

You are the only one there who defines those women by their looks. You say: "Look, this woman is sexy, therefore she is going to influence kids into thinking that being sexy is a good thing".

Even if I still don't understand why you will think that being sexy is a bad thing, you are just assuming that kids would only consider those characters by their looks and not everything else.

Women can dress confidently without looking like they're shooting adult films. The examples I showed earlier are great outfits for everyday use. What I am doing isn't oppression, it is simply helping them stay modest. It seems many would disagree.

It is a fact that sexuality affects children subconsciously. This game doesn't help in that regard. The males seem to wear full body armor, but Blizzard made the females look like sluts for god knows why. Tightpants, yoga pants, short skirts, and the like are not appropriate in real life, and in gaming.

Yeah Hanzo and Luciò are so wearing full body armor. And the whole "It's helping them stay modest". But it is not your cue to do that. In the islamic religion, there is some people who explain that women should wear a veil because their hairs are creating impure thoughts in men's mind. Not that funny but still, in the Quran, when Mahomet and his cousin meets a woman dressed with revealing clothes and when this cousin looks the woman with lust, what does Mahomet do? Do he asks the woman to dress? No, he put his hand on his cousin face and force him to look elsewhere.

That is freaking the same thing. You are saying that women shouldn't dress too "slutty" to not influence kids. That's not how it should work. It is the parents works to educate their children for them to know that dressing sexy is not a free ticket to flirt and coerce those women into sexual activity. The responsability isn't on women to dress modestly, it is on the men to learn respect.

At the point when you are saying how women should dress, you are oppresing. Personnaly, I don't care if a woman wears a burqa or a bikini as long as it is her choice and she feels confortable doing this.

Derp. I am a woman feminist. But I'm not good at conveying myself. Possible do to autism, or possible because I AM a derp myself. I hardly bandwagon. My ideals are strong and unwavering and hardly typical. I don't know what I get more hate for. Being gay, being jewish, being a woman, being a feminist, or being a socialist. Probably feminist, or socialist though. The point of feminism to me is at its root equality. Can a man do something, than a woman should. Also vice versa. Its also about women being able to choose. If they want to be sexy that's their choice. A lot of people act like its all against being sexy and men hating as well but that isn't true. Telling women they can't be sexy or hating men is counter productive to the feminist ideals.

Feminism used to be about giving women same rights and responsibilities men have, now it's about gibberish stuff and moving goalposts

"What I am doing isn't oppression, it is simply helping them stay modest. It seems many would disagree." That's not really your right. We should encourage girls to be true to themselves. Neither modest, or sexy. But whatever fits them personally. This is a video game is people play it thinking ANYTHING in it applies to the real world they probably aren't mentally healthy. Roadhog isn't being moddest why don't you complain about him? /le sigh. I'm probably just responding to a troll... which is worthless.

No its not. That's what some minority people try to pretend feminism is. But it hasn't changed because those people aren't truly feminists. They are trying to steal the word. But we cannot let them. I am a proud feminist. I believe in equality for all.
