My neighbors a few houses down have a 13 year old son who is autistic. Sometimes when they aren't watching he will walk down the street to the busiest part... and lay on the road because reasons.

Being autistic does not mean you are automatically smarter. I've seen other people bring up positives as well. For plenty of people, there really aren't any positives either. The idea that people here think it's a disease though makes me want to facedesk.

True enough, it is a Spectrum. But weighting out the spectrum, when we compare all the amount of Stupid versus the heightened intellect of the few, i'd say that the Intelligent few, propels society far further and in a more meaningful way, than the stupid ever do.

Thus, the stupid, are simply neglectable, in that aspect. They do excist, but they are not really relevant, as far as "Eradicate Autism", goes.

We can neglect the stupid parts of Autism, as can we for the normal populace. If one is stupid because of Autism or not, leaves you as an inferior being none the less.

If the state renders you with a higher intelligence, than comparedly you'd have not having that state, that state makes you superior, since you are left with a higher intellect due to that state.

The smarter you are, the better you are - It's kinda given.

Regardless of views, this thread is dumb anyway since it's not a disease one can cure. It's q disorder and it literally means the brain is functioning differently than someone who has a typical brain. Unless we have figured out how to rewire someone's brain, they haven't figured out shit imo.

I speak from personal experience. This is one of the few topics I actually talk with high confidence about it since I actually am autistic. A large majority of studies I've seen also back up my thoughts.

Well giving that there are so many things that can wreck havoc on a kid nervous system and brain, all the way from all the stuff we use, chemical, endocrines disruptors, heavy metals. All these wreak havoc and attracts parasites and microbes, there's this lady who cured over 100 of case of autism with deworming them, no not African children, 1st world countries. Not every case of autism will necessary work by doing that but removing what cause the body to become ill will usually move the body to health, but none of these pharmaceutical do anything to remove the poisons in the bodies ofc everyone will say its BS and no scientific evidence but there is evidence, the medical field just doesn't acknowledge it and I probably need to be locked in an asylum for even daring mentioning such thing.

There's a high chance of permanently damaging their gastrointestinal tract, besides being painful, unnecessary, and completely unrelated to autism whatsoever. It's absolute quackery and I pity the children whose moronic parents put them through it.

I've personally done them myself for other reasons and i can guarantee you that it is not intestinal lining, although I don't say you should give your kids MMS enemas and it is not bleach for god shake.

Also you will always hear terror stories from alternatives therapies because "omg, we only pharmaceutical are proven to work right?

I feel like autisme is such a broad term.

Me personally, I definitely lack some IQ (Not even gonna say I think I might lack...) based on my overall schooling. At least math is hard for me But I also seem to suffer from many known symptoms that asperger people have like easy fatigue, baaad stress management and so on.

It is a broad term though that has to do with autism being a spectrum. For example, two people can both have autisim yet have different symptoms that fall under the same category. There is also high functioning autism (pretty much anyone who claims to be autistic on these boards is very likely high functioning) where things in life might be more difficult but they can manage (maybe with help in some cases.) Then there are people who are never going to function for themselves because their symptoms are too severe.

I really dont think there is a cure....there however might be a cure on WHY new babies are born with all these 345345345 different horrible things....Honestly Im all for cloning (or what you wanna call it), or at least doing something to make our off-spring better...If Im ever getting kids Im adopting that is 100%...dont wanna pass my genes on.

I think if you're worried about passing on autism that you shouldn't be too worried about that. We're still not sure exactly what cuases it in the first place (as far as I know anyway.) Many autistic people are born to parents who show no signs of it. In addition, my parents for example had my older brother who is perfectly normal. I'd say your chances of something happening to your children are about the same as other disorders / birth defects, etc. Not trying to dossuade you from adopting if that's what you want to do (I'm certain the children would be rather pleased about that :P), just that I wouldn't worry too much about your genes if you do want to have children some day.
