Let's just tell it like it is: people here are bitching because they want to be zoomed into the next zip code for whatever reason that they think gives them some advantage. Personally, I don't care either way because at a certain point, I think being zoomed out too far is a hindrance and I've never used it.

IMO it's more the issue that Blizz is doing whatever they want to the game and have their own agenda, while they give short shrift to what their paying customers want. It isn't just one thing like this, it's the piling on of many things that have ruined the game.

If they wanted to be hilarious dicks they'd say "We enjoyed your feedback about this issue and we agree the camera slider giving an advantage is the same as addons giving advantages. Based on your feedback we are no longer allowing addons."

The funny thing is I'd be ok with that in theory cause it would be awesome if everyone was forced to raid without any help. But that magical plum drop fairy land can never exist. If they were to remove addon support then people would just continue to use them as hacks. You would be at an extreme disadvantage choosing not to use them and would have to decide if a possible ban is worth it.

I've seen about a dozen people here and on the beta thread mention this. That's an extreme minority and there were already threads about the nausea issue before in tight cramped dungeons that they ignored. This isn't going to change anything they see these people as an acceptable casualty. Saying they're making it up is ignorant. It's not a widespread enough issue that Blizzard is going to care about them anyways. Look at the addon comparison. It makes their whole argument void and you know Ion won't discuss it. What could they possibly say to counter that? He'll just ignore it, same as ignoring medical reasons cause they have no counter point.

That or I'd probably play less. Not even because of DBM and raiding addons but addons like altoholic and savedinstances I couldn't live without lol. Try memorizing every daily you've done on a character capped account x_x All your profession CD's who has completed missions, who you've solo'd raids on, how much honor do you have on mage #6? I would rather have the eastern wow system where you pay as you go in that situation.

I had edited my above post before I saw this, which is really more in line with what you're saying. Actually, I've always hated the tight, cramped areas because they're too hard to see wtf is going on to respond well to mobs. I think it's also a cheap way to create a certain difficulty in lieu of using other mechanics.

The reason they gave made no sense because they're trying to come up with a good reasonable explanation but can't. They can't tell us the real reason cause it will start riots. Probably something like the camera slider doesn't work on consoles and they don't want pc players having an advantage. But they're not ready to spring the console shit on us just yet so they need to make stuff up.

They could have just made a max slider wich went to a certain point wich they wanted to be max and beyond. But when you go beyond their point and a warning message will pop up that you cant use the new camera future if you put this setting up. Maybe same when you try to use the new camera future it says something like "please put camera distance to medium to use this feature".

Them saying its a advantage to raiding and such is just dumb. Like alot of people said they made certain bosses to big.

I don't have a problem with the opinion that people are fine with the change. I have a problem with the idea that someone feels the need to discredit my problem because it's not their problem or because it's not a problem many people have. I had a problem with you calling valid concerns 'bs' and implying I was lying just because I wanted to 'pull at someone's heartstrings'. It irked me, so I responded. I already said I haven't experienced it, so I can't know for sure, it is just my guess. I also said I have a problem with it on base for raiding/world view purposes. I never lied about my reasons, I just have multiple.

The camera distance console command is something that wasn't widely used because the majority of people didn't even know about it. It doesn't make sense that in this day and age, especially when Blizzard is losing subscribers left and right, that they would remove a feature that's been in the game since as far back as I can remember instead of improving upon it like making it available in the options or default it so new players can easily use it also

Well, giving Lunal the benefit of the doubt as I did, there are still a whole lot of bullshitters on this and WoW forums that use whatever excuse. We've all seen it.

However as I also said, I have more of a problem with Blizz changing things that make no sense from a player's viewpoint, instead it benefits Blizz in some way that doesn't seem apparent at first glance. You can bet your last RNG strongbox that they wouldn't have gone out of their way to do this if it did not have potential to increase profits/reduce overhead - and a big 'fuck you' to players if they like it or not.
