I still dont see it in this squad. This is a team which is young but the players all get a lot of play-time. I mean look at Rashford, 18 yeards old, gets a chance at the one of the biggest clubs in the world, takes it, keeps his spot and suddenly is in the England team. The problem was that we didn't take the players required to put out a starting 11 that worked well together.

No, Kane and Alli played just about every game, Kane won the Golden Boot in the League, Vardy was one goal behind him - between them it was 40 odd goals. Smalling has been the most solid central defender in the League for anyone. That's not leaving them to rot on the bench.

Rashford was the only one who did anything, and again, played just about every game since February.

Are they leading their team? Are they taking responsibility? Is everyone talking about them or about fucking Martial or Özil or whoever the latest hyped up foreign walking ad campaign is called?

You guys have a problem with appreciating and demanding something from your own talents. You're overpaying them by a hefty amount. They literally get millions shoved up their ass for a mediocre league that people still pretend is the best in the world.

Well, yes. If marketing value was any kind of important metric on the pitch. It isn't. Marketing doesn't win titles. Spain has run away from you a long time ago and the old mantra "Oh, who cares, the EPL is the best thing on the planet, it's much more important than the CL" is just bullshit you feed to yourself to pretend that English football still means something.

It doesn't. Club football shows this. National football shows this. Your club managers need to do some hard rethinking, otherwise the next decade is going to be a long series of painful disappointments.
