About the point we owe them something: the marshall plan was great. We needed to build up our country again. But it's the US that took all of the profit.

I am a european, and I generally like americans a lot, and I know there are millions like me. Its just that the haters are more vocal and there is also that "gun thing" that very few people here can understand :-)

Lower GDP than the EU. This forum isn't particularly American other than being owned by Curse currently, 15th in Nobel prizes per capita and English is global language thanks to England, yes. They are the ones that had colonies everywhere and spread it across the globe making it the second language for billions. And I like how you just handwave away things US isn't the firstest and bestest evar.

Hate USA politicians and some other things.
But when Trump gets elected, I'll love America, he will stop all PC bullshit, and I'm so happy about that, that USA will get back to right track once again!

    It´s a european forum.

    Here educate yourself.

Always funny to see how americans compare themselves to either countries or regions however it suits them.

It's the hip thing to do apparently.
"I have friends, many friends. I have friends in China, India, Russia." "I will make deals, lots of deals. I'm good at making deals. Deals, deals, deals."

Watch American shows. Whenever something awesome happens it's not "This is the best thing in America", but "This is the best thing in the world". Because America = the world. It's this type of arrogance that gets to some. But for the most part, the Americans i've met have been super chill.

You can only get the best if you have some sort of attitude, and that's immediately what a large portion of people dislike about others ofcourse. I doubt it's the majority in Europe though, far from it, as usual it's the vocal minority which makes you believe that.

One thing which maybe is a tad bit different is that Europeans tend to be more humble than Americans, or seem like it overall. Could also have to do with Americans being vocally very well developed in English compared to the rest of Europe.

It's funny how many Europeans say Americans are arrogant when a whole lot of arrogance is demonstrated by Europeans themselves.

I mean America is mocked routinely even by Americans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhnUgAaea4M but you say anything negative about Europe and it's like a crime? It seems if anything Europeans take themselves to seriously.

Another annoying thing is how Europeans when talking about Europe are only really referring to western europe and scandanavia.

No. It's when you lump us together with each other. Europe is not like the US, we're not one nation where everyone follows the same type of culture. Hell, most of southern europe can't even speak proper english yet.

I don't mind someone saying something negative about europe, as long as it is the truth.

It's conceited to assume the US has a contiguous culture. Boston isn't New York isn't Atlanta isn't San Francisco. If you'd like a wider example, Texas and New York are not even remotely the same.

    Its mostly ignorance and arrogance.

Talking to an American, is like talking to someone that grew up in a village, hearding sheeps/goats with his father without Television, Internet, Newspaper and the Radio.

Despite the American having all that they are exactly as ignorant about the world as that person which is that because he cant help where he was born and how he grew up/raised.

Thats what baffles me about them, the lack of knowledge of what is actually happening on the planet Earth because they have everything a modern world can have, at pretty much any part in US, yet they are so ignorant which borderlines stupidity for anyone else.

Of course not all are like that, but the majority seems to be.

Its like, they dont even know what happened to their state next to them, and in many cases to the city next to them.

You can´t expect foreigners to see a distinction that you yourself don´t make. Americans don´t chant Texas Texas Texas when a texan does something great, regarldess where from they are.

Sure. But you're mostly speaking the same language at least. We can't even communicate with much of Europe because of poor english skills. And you're all Americans. Being a "European" means nothing. We're either Swedish, Spanish etc.

You've never been to Europe have you? If you did, it's maybe time to open your ears and eyes while you're there. US and Europe simply can't be compared, every country is so different. And no not like different states in the US. Texas and New York are more alike than Norway, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Croatia. So please stop making yourself look like a fool.

It's your stereotypes. Which have many times actually also been confirmed. Most Americans I've ever spoke to have been great people; but I've seen people on this forum that just defy all reason and shout "AMERICA GREATEST COUNTRY WORLD" whenever you criticize them. It's that ignorance that people despise.

Ignorance towards gun laws, ignorance towards any socialistic ideal.. I can go on and on.
The people that shout they'll shoot the people that would come to collect their guns if any law would ever pass to have them removed from the populous.

That. Is what makes me dislike certain "Americans".

For the love of god.. you still have politicians that deny global warming is a thing. And at this point I have to believe at least some of them have reason but still push against lawmaking for it because that gets them more votes and whatnot.
Your political system is broken as fuck.

Now I won't claim ours is perfect, but I seriously believe it functions a whole lot better than yours.
