I don't think class+artifact stuff gets you halfway, more like 25-33%

I checked this again on another character (the first one had done the broken shore pre-event with Magni and Karazhan and stuff), this one was only 160k in

@Chickat I'm a mount collector myself, so here's a list of all the Legion mounts that aren't through dungeon/raiding, at least according to warcraftmounts.

• Spirit of Eche'ro - Obtained through Archaeology.
• Elderhorn Riding Harness - Great Northern Elderhorn mount. Obtained through Leatherworking. There are three other recolors of this mount unused as of now, but three in-game including the nightmare raid.
• Reins of the Llothien Prowler - Fox mount obtained through Volpin the Elusive in Suramar.
• Brinedeep Bottom-Feeder - Fishing mount.
• Ratstallion - Rat mount. Crates of its saddles around the underbelly (kind of like the elixers in wrath), but another version available through Underbelly Tycoon to use anywhere.
• Steelbound Harness - Teaches the Steelbound Devourer mount. Made with blacksmithing.
• Arcadian War Turtle - Sold by Xur'ios in Dalaran for 150 Curious Coins.
• Bloodfang Cocoon - A bunch of nope for a bunch of gold.
• Fathom Dweller - Drops from Kosumoth the Hungering in Azsuna on the Eye of Azshara island. Also drops a pet. Don't know if it's a guaranteed drop or not.
• Mechanized Lumber Extractor - You might want to start caring about toys. At least until you get 300 of them.

There are more mounts available as raiding drops or dungeon/raid achievements. A few PvP mounts (quite a bit, actually, many that aren't in use yet). The unarmored storm drakes aren't in use yet, although I wouldn't be surprised if they added one to the world boss in Stormheim. All the felbats arent in use (according to the site). Falcosaurs were removed, but would be fitting for a troll faction or patch in the future. Not a whole lot of faction mounts, though. I suppose that could change by launch. Guess we'll have to see.

I wonder if they're going to add mounts for the reputation fractions too as they did with almost all the MOP and WOD factions (while the MOP ones were mostly special the WOD ones were just recolours of the stable mounts)... right now it looks like there are a lot of mounts for PVP but not many for PVE.

There's still time to add them to reputations to balance out the distribution between PvP and PvE. They've been a major part of faction rewards since TBC. Since none of those mounts are as easy to obtain as the stable mounts, I could see the other recolors going to some of the factions. A lot of them would fit in perfectly (like the unused hippogryph mounts going to the Dreamweavers or the additional moose mounts to the Highmountain Tribe) as rep rewards. It might be too late to add in new models if they haven't already been made, but not put into the game files. I assume there's gonna be a Q&A soon that involves reputations, so people ask during that would be ideal.

Yeah I would be okay with that, I have a feeling that the "normal" unicorns (not the warhorses with unicorn armor) will be one of the fraction mounts.

Agreed. We've had horsemen mount models, DK weapon appearances, and a mini Naxxaramas pet model datamined during the course of Legion's testing cycle, all looking like they could become a full DK-themed collection of cosmetic stuff, but I haven't heard of any of these items actually being made available. I'm really hoping they have plans for this stuff after launch.

Edit: Also, anyone remember those hydra mount models that were datamined early in WoD testing? It's weird that they made those and just didn't use them, even though they would've been a unique addition to the otherwise sparse collection of unique mounts at WoD's launch. Unless they have legitimate tech issues, I always find it to be really odd when they make fully developed things that they just never add.

BM Hunters get an extra pet from their artifact. By default it looks like a storm wolf, but I believe you can also buy an item to cause it to mimic the appearance of any other pet you have.
