Drugs like like Lsd mdma so some serius money could be spent on finding a new medicin for depression instead of just a handfull working on it in US.

Only argument I ever heard grounded in reality was that it could be abused somehow by families waiting for parents/grandparents to die for inheritance, or the possibility of doctors being too liberal in it's use where more could be done, while I understand these arguments, I feel like these events would be so few and far between, that we cannot simply deny the entire population a peaceful death because of it.
Marijuana because it's already legal in parts of the US and also I believe it has less harmful effects than Cigarettes and alcohol. It's only illegal because of tradition at this point.
Prostitution because people are going to do it anyways and who cares if that's what people choose to do with their bodies? Making it legal would also probably remove the abusive pimp-hoe relationship that plagues that field.
Assisted Suicide. If someone wants to take their own life then fucking let them and let the people with the experience to allow them to die peacefully assist them. The government could also implement a course for the depressed to help them cope and then after 90 days or w/e if they still want to take their life, then they get euthanized.
Making people who use wheelchairs, and can walk around fine, actually handicapped.
public nudity, bestiality(with limits), consenting adult incest, marijuana, prostitution(but only in a way that it's government run, no side businesses. cheap to beat pimps.), maybe something else i just can't think of right now.
oh, and eugenics to a degree. sterilize the stupid, criminal, and diseased/mentally disabled.
Steroids. Why not?
It became clear that it wasn’t realistic to try to get the audience back to being more hardcore, as it had been in the past. -- Tom Chilton
I understand completely, but I'm coming from a sort of "greater good" angle as much as I hate to use the term, personally, I'd rather take the risk of that than continue with the current situation where many people will continue to meet their ends in either agonizing pain, or in vegetative states that only cause huge distress for family members. I usually refrain from bringing emotion into these debates, but after seeing my great aunt suffer for 5 weeks in tremendous pain before she finally met peace, I find it hard to see it any other way anymore, perhaps my view has been clouded, I'll leave that to others to decide.
I agree that it should be legal. I think we'd be a lot closer to it if it wasn't for Shipman, maybe it already would be legal if he hadn't killed all those people.
People arguing against it, especially the media, won't though.
The headlines write themselves: "Government approves state backed Shipmans" and "Doctors free to kill your loved ones at will". That's the sort of thing we'd likely see from papers opposing euthanasia.
Thanks to that sort of thing the debate has been put back a generation.
Aye you're right again, I would expect those headlines to be par for the course in any potential debate regarding euthanasia, I hope that in my country we will at least see some sort of dialogue about it someday though, it feels like something that we should at least be talking more about.
1. Definitely prostitution because there's more pros than cons for legalizing it.
Workers are safer, both medically and physically. They also have a valid job which gives them an option for retirement funds, not to mention taking out loans and all other perks that come with having a job. Customers are safer medically. Government get more tax money so there's more money to be invested back into society ( ideally ).
Main reason why it isn't is because of stigma towards the job generated primarily by all religious groups which additionally makes a blow to the worker self esteem because they can't be open to who they are to others. But let's also face it, this won't stop human trafficking but it will sure make a big dent in it. Why get people through illegal means when you can just hire them.
Hell, if you read some reports on what to those girls ( primarily ) do, it's easy to see that sex part is about 30-40% of their job and that's the easy part. Other times they get customers who want nothing else than some companionship and someone to talk to and pour out their souls and that's the hard part because they have to empathize with this person who they don't give 2 shits about other than the fact they are paying them. Shrinks aren't always the answer, sometimes you just want to talk and let the other person listen and not give you any advice, judge you or try to fix you.
2. Second would be to legalize marijuana.
Cannabis without chemical additions, according to a lot of research, can't do shit to you. The worst you'll do, if you smoke it at home in peace, is "destroy" all your food supplies. Not to mention also that, again according to research, it helps in a lot of medical cases with multiple sclerosis, cancer, after chemo and such. Problem happens when you add some chemicals in it and it's not natural anymore. Then all shit breaks loose.
3. Legalize underage drinking? Hmmm ... I would say partially to that. Maybe that from 16+ you can buy beer, but leave the stronger stuff for 18+ when you can enter clubs without much fuss. I still can't understand US policy of buying a drink at 21.
Like Chris Rock said in Head of State at that campus or college. I'm not quoting cause I couldn't find it, but it goes something like this. You can go to war, see some of the nastiest shit there that will traumatize you for life and come back as a cripple when you're 18. And in that state, with that experience, while under 18, you can't go to a bar and get a drink. That ain't right!
4. Illegal swearing? In what context? On TV I wouldn't censor it, but there has to be some code of conduct while delivering news.
Having to get a pilot's license. If I can get my hands on a plane and fly, gtfo of my way.

The more I read who makes certain threads/posts, the more certain I am that I never want to meet most of you lot in real life.
Voted for prostitution because its already legal here so why shouldnt it be legal in general.
Clearly public nudity... I'd like to be freeballing it on my balcony without getting told off by the building manager.
Any non chemically addictive drugs. Treat them the same as alchohol and tobacco.
Prostitution for sure.
Mutual combat.
Weed.
Prostitution.
Marijuana - this is slowly happening anyhow.
Prostitution - consenting adults, etc.
Speeding - though there's be an awful lot of fine print after this, and really look more like raised speed limits on many roads. The vast majority of current speeding tickets are collection funds rather than criminal impediments.
Thievery - if anything, ones ability to protect his property should be bolstered.
Public nudity - fine with this. If someone wants to walk around naked, go right ahead.
Other - Ages of consent, as with most civil liberty-related issues, should not be left up to states. Consensual sex in Rhode Island is statutory rape in Florida.
