This is a genuine question, folks. What would you have at Benghazi ? Grabbing the popcorn.

    1. Not had a consulate in a civil war that didn't even meet basic standards of security.
    2. Listened to my close friend about lacking security
    3. Everything else is fine and not her fault.

Who blocked the funds for increasing security ?

The State Department can allocate their funds however the Secretary sees fit. Also, if security is inadequate, you can pull the consulate also. We do that in every other civil war zone.

But, you got me all wrong here. I think this whole thing is bullshit. These are the only two things I could even think of that would be relevant, and they aren't exactly murder, as some would have you think with their hyperbole.

Also, you should probably not use phrases like "blocked funds". It makes you look silly. It's akin to calling Republicans obstructionist for not voting for laws they and their constituents are against. The intended process is you negotiate and work together, not just go along with the other guys for "reasons".

I wouldn't have perpetuated a lie to Patricia Smith that the attack was caused by someone's Youtube video...

Then I genuinely excuse myself, as ''bloqué les fonds'' is a very common French expression.

YOU partisans? You really should think more before typing, you might actually get the point. Besides, I'm not the one dragging her on stage, lol.

It's exactly what I'm saying. Benghazi was not a left or right issue, but the discussion is moot now. It becomes partisan when you dig it up for your own political gain.

Can you honestly say there has been any change for the better to prevent a situation where an ambassador says they need more security infrastructure and nothing is done with their requests?

Mind you, the ambassador at Benghazi WAS A CLOSE PERSONAL friend of Hilary's, yet had no means to contact her directly. Yet lobbyists had her direct PERSONAL email and were constantly getting things done for them in Libya.
How to tell if somebody learned World Geography in school or from SNL:
"GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?
PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."
SNL: Can't be Diomede Islands, say her backyard instead.

Actually, it could have been any of the flaccid vitriol spewing rage hounds I see on the forum now that I think about it, so I take it back. Sorry I remembered incorrectly.

That what was the state department thought. Not to mention that the video is not that unrelated to the assaut :it was obviously a very convenient pretext to launch an attack

Can you see why people are talking about Bush and Iraq still? Maybe it was one of the reasons what caused this monumental clusterfuck of a situation in the area with rise of ISIS and all. Oh and the war caused lot of unncessary suffering to both sides. Yet somehow talking about this is a bad thing as opposed to 4 people died, which is shitty but also very inconsequential.

No one of significance at the state department thought that. They all know it was a lie because they came up with the lie.

Well, in 2016, it's obvious it was a planned attack. During the attack and before the enquiry, thinking that the two might be linked was not that stupid.

Well . . . they're nominating a narcissistic megalomaniac billionaire. They've declared porn a "national health crisis." They want to waste billions of dollars on an ineffective wall to keep the White Walk . . . I mean . . . Mexicans out. They want the Bible taught in public schools, they want Obergefell overturned so we can go back to discriminating against gays. They want Muslims banned from immigrating to the country . . .

    So . . . in short . . . they've lost it completely.

I mean, just go read their political platform. It's appallingly regressive, totally takes us back to the 1950s on almost every single point, and it'd be hilarious if they didn't have a real chance of winning in November (thanks Dems for picking a candidate almost as unlikable as Trump!)

It's not a question of stupidity, but rather deception. Blaming some innocent guy's Youtube video was an intentional placeholder until they could figure out a long term spin. They even imprisoned the video maker. That should bother any American to their core.

That video, for the record, might not have been criminal, but was certainly criminally stupid.

For instance, why do you think the coptic producer took a blindingly obviously Jewish pseudonym ?

Also - it just goes to show you how utterly incompetent the entire Obama administration is.

They could have just said "We are not exactly sure what the cause of the attack was but as soon as we are able to ascertain what the actual cause was we will inform the public." As Crooked Hillary has said many many times (as her excuse for lying) - it was a "fluid" situation and they were receiving information in a very rapid manner.. Now, if that is true then WHY THE FUCK DID YOU JUMP THE GUN and just blame some idiotic Youtube video? Supposedly the video was the cause of unrest in Egypt the week before, so it just HAD to be that, right?

    /facepalm

You honestly think that the response you claim would have sufficed, to not have resulted in the same thing? She lied about not knowing, doesn't stop at admitting the administration didn't know. You also need to realize, the 'anyone, but Hillary' campaign has been going for more than 8 years...

It's unfortunate they don't want a top marginal tax rate of 90~92% and strong support for unions like they did in the 1950s.

Someone crying and ranting about an event that she was not involved in in any way and was spoon fed a bunch of bullshit by right wing extremists in order to paint Hilary Clinton as Satan reincarnated, is pretty fucking pathetic.
