    I enjoy having nightmares

Is it odd that I enjoy having nightmares? Do you guys enjoy when you have nightmares?

  2. #2
It depends. Some of them, along with less frightening dreams, can serve as good inspiration for my drawings and stuff. Though I don't have many dreams, and the few nightmares I have tend to be pretty mundane like finding myself in sudden debt or something, I tend not to enjoy them.

I enjoy them like most dreams, its always an adventure of some sort... unless I have a nightmare about being at work.
I may not agree with what you say but I will fight to the death to defend your right to say it.

I do not recall having dreams or nightmares so I guess I'm indifferent to them.

If a poster makes odd posts about dreams or other psychological issues, and then asks for advice on firearms and weapons in other threads. Is it a case for or against, why gun threads should be treated like medical advice threads?

That kind of liability might give message board owners nightmares.

I guess you could see them as a hyper-immersive VR game/movie.

If you enjoy having nightmares, I question your definition of a nightmare.

I enjoy them too. I guess "enjoy" is a bad word. Its interesting and exciting.

    That doesn't even make sense

Enjoying a nightmare is an oxymoron.

As another poster put it, if you enjoy the dream, that generally constitutes its not a nightmare.

Definition of Nightmare: "a frightening or unpleasant dream."

No, they're annoying. I prefer dreamless sleep.

A person can enjoy fright. Thats why we watch scary movies, go to horror houses, etc.

I had a dream today I was in sorta zombie-apocalypsys world, barely survived, I remember I entered building at night and then evalator crashed and then whole building... Went outside at full dark and there were lurking monsters xD Was pretty fun tbh. It's weird I saw something like that since I haven't seen anything like that recently.

There's some "minor" difference. One you actually choose to watch, while the other is forced on you, whether you wanted it or not.

Then it means that they're not nightmares.

Nightmares are not "bloody/stupid" dreams, they're just not comfortable BAD dreams. So if you enjoy killing people/being murdered/raped or something while dreaming then it's not a nightmare - it's a good dream.

But if you hate having a lovely family/loyal dog/nice cars while dreaming then it's a nightmare.
