It's an iconic Silver Hand weapon, at least. From Warcraft 2 onwards, paladins were described as wielding maces, and the original L20 class quest in WoW had you make Verigan's Fist, a 2H mace. The Draenei seem to like their maces too. Originally Posted by Nakloh

While I agree in general, I think it's the reason Blizzard gave Holy a 2H Mace. Of course, if you want to DPS you're sol, but it's the thought that counts, maybe?
You're not allowed to discuss conspiracy theories on mmo-champion, which makes me wonder what they're trying to hide.

They did say they were gonna try and add alternate skins so that people could mix it up. Like Arms/Fury Wars can get an Axe skin. Maybe they'll add something for Rets.
