Israel is actually the leading country on technology/medicine research, well ahead of the USA, which is tied with Japan.

Israel is the ancestral homeland of the Jews. The Jews were there long before the Palestinians ever were. So if anything the (re)creation of Israel is restoring those lands to their rightful owners, whose land was stolen from them time and time again by foreign conquerors and its people scattered across the world. The Jews have no other place to call home. It's not like the rest of the world has ever welcomed Jews with open arms...Germany in the 1940's was only the most extreme example of Jew-hatred; it was anything but uncommon across the rest of the world.

why should not we drop Israel? We do not get any discounts from them. Those israeli scientists can find jobs in Europe and U.S.. It is against our interest to back israel, so they can make innovations that benefit them most. Rather than say, invite those people in the U.S.. and let Israel fail or pass on their own.
