Otherwise, interesting campfire story. I am fond of Nessie myself and hope to god it is real.
Are you referring to the term two in the chest one in the head? Not only do a number of combat arms MOS say that, its also in a handful of cadences.

Which means it's going to be a conspiracy theory. Why? Because if the only sources you can find on this fairytale topic are rightwing-nut conspiracy & woo sites where the common answer to "Why isn't it reported in media?" is usually "Because the government and big corporate-owned media is hiding this information from you! Wake up, sheeple!" then you where the direction of such a discussion is heading.

Nope, it could just be a tall tale. Tall tales are everywhere. They're fun.

I like military legends like this one... along with the Philadephia Experiment and the ghost onboard the USS Houston.

I'm intensely allergic to nonsense, superstition, conspiracies and the like. There needs to be a clear divide between reality and fiction (I enjoy fiction, but I don't meddle it with reality).

Yeah, I know all about this. Dunno why they keep calling him "giant" he has a name, it's Ted. He's a pretty legit guy. The whole thing was a misunderstanding.

That sounds interesting! I like anything Revelations/apocalyptic-y. I'll see if I can find the series online

If giants exist then I'm sure there's some already out there, nothing is too kinky for the internet. Giant porn would probably be pretty tame comparatively.

There's also a bit about the "fairies" found in Mexico here too toward the end.

The best place is the internet, while he does exist - he can't be captured on cameras - and he's very elusive - but he's totally real

Also I have discovered that I need these soup ladles

The videos explain what happened to the body. (HINT: It was taken away.)

Sounds awful. Perhaps you can get a prescription for that.

That is a tall tale if I ever heard one. I think the Afghan heat got to some of those boys out there.

You don't know much about the Bible, do you?

David and the Goliath are from the Old Testament, aka, Judaism. Specifically, the Books of Samuel.

The body is obviously at Area 51 and under strict security with all the aliens and UFOs.

Gawd, haven't you been paying any attention at all during your years on the webbernetz?

Never heard this story. But there are a couple of legitimately creepy places in Kandahar. It's as old as it gets for history and there were a couple of OPs out there that were built in places that had seen more bloodshed than we could ever wrought in 10 years.

Also the story could be a pretty decent mix of actual fact, I've seen some Terry Taliban so hoped up on opiates take a solid 15-20 .556, only to run off. QRF, wound up finding ole boy about a half mile away, still itching for a fight.

Add to that a lot of the Mujahadin that fought the Russians were around, and those guys are tough as nails. I could see this being a tall-tale based on truth.

How would the giant have been able to spear and pick up dan without the spear breaking, dude most likely would weight over 200 lbs with his gear on. Also didnt they say he died? Couldnt someone look up all the dans that died in Afghanistan that year and google maps the area they supposedly died in? Also the other guy hears this rumor around the base but no one else has came forward but these 2?

If we ever have concrete proof of bigfoot, aliens, giants, etc. I'm going to talk so much shit to the naysayers.
