What do you think of this budget setup

Building a budget gaming PC for Dad. Using some parts from build of the month as well as some suggested items here. Looking to play basically most Blizzard Games...WoW, OverWatch, Diablo 3, Hearthstone. Budget was 600 bucks, but went a bit over.

Can you provide the specific pcpartpicker link? Just put a space in to break it up.

I would cut back on the SSD, and buy a better card, probably R9-380, mainly because of Vram. Games have become much more demanding on the VRam recently, 2GB cards are practically obsolete these days.

I know this is over-budget still, but it's the same price as your previous setup, but optimized for much better performance. Main points of note is a faster i3, and dropping the HDD entirely for a 500gb SSD which should be enough space for everything

Never a good idea to buy Windows keys from shady resellers, they tend to get flagged when their stolen volume licensing (or other means) gets deactivated.
    i7-4770k - GTX 780 Ti - 16GB DDR3 Ripjaws - (2) HyperX 120s / Vertex 3 120
    ASRock Extreme3 - Sennheiser Momentums - Xonar DG - EVGA Supernova 650G - Corsair H80i

There's already a thread about this.

People have bought keys from them without any problems.

Without a heaping amount of evidence from either end of this, isn't it all anecdotal evidence?

Exactly. You're taking a risk anyway when you buy things. And if you have credit cards, like most people, you can always dispute charges later when things go wrong. PayPal does this as well. All you're losing is your time when things go wrong. If things go well, you could save $70 on a copy of Windows. I'll take my chances.
