From what I know, in China organized crime is pretty severe, it even leaks to Japan and Korea to an extent. Not sure about common violent crime though... That tends to be somewhat low in Asian countries, indeed.

China has advanced massively over the past 20 or so years. Its problem is that it follows the same moronic policies that our governments follow, just on a supersized scale. Plus, they are on average a very intelligent population. Nonetheless, it's pretty much the same advice most non-braindead Londoners would give you, even if they'd be secretive about it.

Sure, but the thing is, it is pretty easy to advance when you are on bottom; now, if they maintain their current advancement rate by the time they reach the UK quality of life (if they ever do), that will be an achievement!
