there was a sword in early wrath, just a grey item but it had no ilvl req so i remember people farming in dragonblight for it for hours to send to alts because it was super op for low levels, this is probably similar. just a bug that will get fixed in time.

Yeah, if bugs cause an unintentional BENEFIT to players, they will shut the servers down and hotfix it faster than you can say hotfix. If the bug is an annoyance or detriment to players, it gets ignored for months on the basis of "it's not important" (see the Sunsong Ranch master plow bug).

And you ignore many other changes.
Cherry-picking one example does not prove your point.

In this case it is certainly not intended and its impact stretches way beyond dungeon.
It isn't purely a player-benefiting bug as it has impact in PvP for example.

How So? PVP stats are normalized based on Ilvl and even then its based on your current level and you cannot go beyond 5% extra stats. Even at lvl 19 there are people using Wrath ilvl items to cheese the ilvl and get a boost to their stats but its not too much. This item in PVP isn't a huge deal in my eyes.

Unaware of the capping of the template at lower levels.
That much is true, but it doesn't change the original argument about what is or isn't ignored.
    Not by a long-shot.
Something like this cannot be argued to be intended, simple as that.
It isn't some minor effect or niche benefit either.

I expect that to have a moderately quick fix if blizzard are able to do that.

Tell that to the people PvPing at low levels because someone has this item and ruins the whole thing for everyone else. That's a really good benefit to the players, huh?

Was doing a lvl ~65 dungeon a few hours ago, and at first I couldn't understand how the paladin was basically insta-killing every pack before anyone else could touch them. Asked him about it and he linked this spear.

Not seeing the issue here. It's a BoA scalable weapon

you ignore what he mean, its 700 ilvl at level 1 instead of ilvl 10

Doubtful. What You see is gonna be based off YOUR lvl not the person equipping it. If you're lvl 100+ looking at it on a lvl 1 toon your going to see a ilvl 700 item.

If it isn't scaling correctly then yes it's clearly a bug.

Just glancing through the posts in this thread makes everything you said invalid. It's clearly giving the stats of a weapon far above what it should

Disregarding the scaling issue, what's up with a 1H spear, with 3.6 speed?! Everything about it screams that it should be a 2H.
