I've had a lot of experience in this field as well, and I can say that being with someone that turns you on in that special way helps significantly with setting a mood. For example, when I was younger, free love was all the rage, back then. Well, I'm not sure if I'd ever want to hook up with randoms as often as I did but then again random sex is still better than almost no sex :P

I'm so glad that I grew up when I did on this particular note. STDs weren't a reality back then. I wouldn't have been nearly as exploratory or open with the threat of STDs as rampant as they are now.

I would go as far as say that it's a required factor for a potent and steady libido. If you're simply not attracted to what's available to you, you aren't going to desire sex on a frequent basis. For me, I even loathed it for a very long time. I honestly felt that enjoyable sex was a thing that I wouldn't ever experience again... Like, how could you go back to it after so many years of being repulsed by the thought of sex. I was pleasantly surprised once I hooked up with a man that could actually bring out those feelings and sensations within me.
