Warning from CNN: Its illegal to read Wikileaks

Only the corporate media is approved for deciding what information you are allowed to consume. If you are attempting to 'inform' yourself, then you are guilty of colluding with the enemies of our great democracy. Conform now, or you are buying yourself a one way ticket to behind the chemical sheds.

Before the camps, I regarded the existence of nationality as something that shouldn’t be noticed - nationality did not really exist, only humanity. But in the camps one learns: if you belong to a successful nation you are protected and you survive. If you are part of universal humanity - too bad for you -Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Haha that's honestly pretty funny. Clinton news network.
    You're a towel.

I wasn't aware that "possess" and "read" were the same word. You learn something new every day.

He didn't say that at all, stop lying.

Anything you read online is technically in your 'possession' due to being cached on your computer, is this not correct?

Are you still surprised when it comes to MMO-Champions mods? I mean Endus still exists.

It is. If you look at an image on a website, it's not on a website, it's physically on your PC. If you read text that's on a website, it's not on a website, it's physically on your PC. That's how browsers work. They download all that shit physically to your PC in order for it to be shown.

If you go to WikiLeaks and read these documents, whether they're in text form or as images, then they are already, at that point, physically on your PC, and in your possession, so as such what the guy on Clinton News Propaganda Network is saying applies.

Whether it's actually illegal or not, I have no clue. But he is inferring, whether intentionally or not, that reading WikiLeaks is illegal.

Well, he actually did, although not in so many words.

If you watch the video he claims it is 'different' for the media, as in claiming that they have a special privilege in this case, which is false. What is published by wikileaks is protected by the first amendment.

It is. I don't think he meant it this way, but it can definitely be ambiguous. Was it done purposefully? It's CNN.

ye if the distinction is between 'possessing' and 'reading' it's a moot one, you have 'possessed' the leaked emails in a digital format on your computer

it's like if you just 'look at' child porn, you'll still get nicked for possession
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.

Moderators here are completely fair and unbiased, and I'm sure whatever their political beliefs are, they hold good intentions in their hearts. I'm sure that if I am someday blindfolded and led to the field behind the chemical sheds, a well intentioned person like that will be standing right there behind me.

It's almost as if the studios that make movie/tv/music haven't been fighting for years to make sure that digital distribution of their material is done in such a way that honors their copyrights. But I guess you're right. There's literally no difference between watching a movie at your friend's house and downloading a pirated copy of that movie.

It's a slippery slope indeed. Considering how many people have actually read these documents, it's impossible for the government to act on it, unless you're a particularly annoying target.

This may be the most disingenuous thread I have ever seen. My days of not taking the OP seriously are certainly coming to a middle.

well he says its illegal to possess, not to read, which is a bit different i suppose. though im not sure how acurate he is with the "only the media has the right to read these" bit
