It's bothering the hell out of me. I googled it expecting to find info about it but was surprised to find nothing. I asked in game and no one replied. Surely I'm not the only one that has seen this pop up in the middle of their screen and in chat while questing in the Broken Isles?

Well apparently it goes back way farther than I thought. I thought I had already taken a screenshot a while back and started digging through all my screenshots on my wow folder and sure enough found the screenshot below while questing in Spires of Arak in WoD. Mine goes "GO TO BED" at 1:00am. Sometimes I forget that I set it myself long ago and get really creeped out when the message pops up but then I feel strangely comforted at the thought that someone I may never meet is out there, looking out for me.
