This is basically a small fry case in the grande scheme of things, if you want to see all the details of the case go try and find them yourself but the courts found they had enough to put them away for 8 years.

No it's the woman's fault. I said you don't hear about female on male rape as much because statistically it doesn't happen that often but the numbers are skewed because many men will not come forward and out themselves like that so as to avoid the ridicule of other men.

Let me guess, people (most of them of the male gender) are trying to excuse the actions of the men by calling upon personal responsibility of the female.

It's easy to say "she should've avoided drinking herself into a stupor", but... wtf? Doesn't change what has happened now if it indeed did happen, does it? Investigation should be on whether there was a crime commited, not if the woman got too drunk (which she did). If talking personal responsibility, what of the personal responsibility of the men to not engage sexually with a woman laying face down in vomit?

To answer the question posed by @Tennisace in the OP. I don't think 8 years is too long or too short. I don't believe in criminal punishment being used as revenge.

Imprisonment should be indefinite till experts have deemed the offender reformed., and then the imprisonment should end with no minimum sentencing. Minimum sentencing does not make sense to me.
