According to the shooter, this could have been avoided if Russia dealt with ISIS like they said they were going to instead of reducing Aleppo to ash. How's Palmyra and Raqqa doing?

Unfortunately the journalists can't get into East Aleppo so they have to take the word of the people there. Of Course the only people there who can safely speak out are the 'moderate rebels'.

Kurdish separatist? Or disgruntled Jihadi tired of being bombed?

Turks have more than enough reason to dislike Russia. Chances are the kid has family in Aleppo and his screws came loose enough to try to initiate WW3.

Did Al Qaeda officially change their name to 'Moderate Rebels', or is that how we are translating it nowadays?

You could always just take the usual line that Assad nuthuggers vomit on this forum and say the only opposition in Syria is ISIS.
