Meh, as long as I played I delivered some real damage in PvP as Survival. Kind of complicated to play but gave me those old pvp feels tha I quite missed.

My complaints aren't about the numbers. Survival on pvp is what I'd say is okay. MM in raiding also does alright. Neither of those two specs feel remotely similar to their previous incarnations though. I play BM because it is the only spec that resembles a hunter still IMO, but it is so simplified. I don't have issues with a simple spec but they made it require pretty much no thought or any way to express your skill over other BM hunters.

Ah well, rather move on from my gripes with the class chrrently lol.

Well, you're pretty much right about MM, but I disagree about SV. I think this is the proper incarnation of the spec, what it tried to be during the old days but never properly delivered, until it evolved into a mess that had no connection with its distinctive theme. I played Survival in WoD too and was a good spec overall but it could have just being called something else entirely and would have made as much sense.

I agree about the oversemplification of BM. I played it a lot in 6.2 when it came to raiding (I should have shifted to MM in fact but since I mostly wanted to conclude the legendary I didn't care) and while I was never a fan of the spec it had many little things to handle in order to perform greatly. Now I gave it a try and honestly it's almost unrecognizable, it's literally so simple that I nearly have no idea how to play it (which reminds me of Glenn Gould when he said that rock music was so simple that he couldn't get it).

Playstyle wise, yes I enjoy them all, as I said I love the class. The "destroyed" part was mainly for dps since we are not close to OP (in reference to the warrior-mage joke always).

I should clarify, I stopped a few months into mop and only came back recently. I started in december of 04, so my recollections of the specs might be slightly different than what they most recently were.

Does the new patch make it any better for you?

I think blizz is trying to make the vulnerable mechanic more enjoyable for MM as of this most recent hot fix they announced. Not sure if it will be successful or not. I'm cautiously optimistic for the changes for and MM and BM and pray I am wrong and that things start to feel better. Hoping the talent changes for BM gives us some more choices, and I still think blizz needs to make good on their promise to offer SV through talents. Current MM talent tree does not actually do this.

Frost is cool, and I'll probably use it on 110 on the Withered training stuff, but I'm thinking wither fire or arcane. Fire has the better artifact but arcane is slightly more fun.

But then again, I still have to decide whether to main paladin or mage.
