Gap can't so wide that Method is almost 24 hours behind.

Why do you think ilvl is the problem? I think Serenity and Exorsus simply have stronger dps rosters and Method compensates that gap by being stronger mechanically(i'm basing it only on Helya though, which is not a big enough sample) and on Augur it's not enough. Exorsus' roster is also really diverse, for example they have arcane mage with 54 traits and great legendaries that did like 850k sustained dps when they streamed normal, two fury wars in great gear, unholy dks, etc. Helps a lot, they're also been using prot war on a lot of bosses, with devastator they can put out really good dps.

No it's more about mechanics than anything else. If one person makes a mistake that attempt is pretty much over.

Given how strong Shadow has been this entire expansion, it's pretty hard to believe that most guilds at that level didn't gear up a few Shadow alts.

Nahh, this is just a weird love drama.

The real lazel's been busy choking on Fragnance's dick, and that fake lazel(who will be referred to as lazzie here on) got super jealous.
So lazzie, using lazel's name tricked Serenity to invite him to a group, he then hijacked the serenity ID, and stayed in a visible place inside the raid so that people could see his name.
What lazzie was trying to accomplish with that was to split up the relationship between fragnance and Lazel so the new OTP could become lazzie and Fragnance.
