Actually a large number of Americans agree with him. According to the Reuters election day poll:
75 percent agree that "America needs a strong leader to take the country back from the rich and powerful."

Voters on the left and the right are tired of being cheated by corporate oligarchs and other vested interests. They use courts, media, and money in politics to block any change that threatens their interests.

Putin would not have happened if not for the unrestrained greed of the oligarchs.

Well, since Trump is both a weak leader, and a rich person - that essentially means that 75% dislike Trump, doesn't it?

The only way his approval rating can go is up now.

How many times did Trump praise Putin? alot. Most voters got the message. He's doing what he campaigned on.

They'll keep giving him more and more chances, as one a major part of the dogma is, paraphrased, no matter how badly you fuck up, be sorry, and it's all good.

After the narrow margins of victory in swing states, and still losing the popular vote by just about 3m votes, any person with a hint of self awareness wouldn't attempt to govern as if they had a sweeping popular mandate and would spend a bit more time reaching out to those who voted against him to assuage their fears about his governance (if even just playing lip service).

    But instead we got Trump.

Which still has nothing to do with what you linked, nor has anything to do with what the thread is about.

    Again, you're just being dishonest.

It has everything to do with this thread. A strong leader takes control. Trump is restructuring the NSC to take greater control.

If you support this, you aren't an American. Period. Dot.

Also: still has fuck all to do with the topic at hand.

Well, he was on a ship in the Navy- in the 80s. And he used to get coffee for the CNO, again, in the 80s. So, totally more qualified than our DNI and JCS to stand in at the NSC.

Thank god its mostly the moderate parties that form government coalitions over here.

    *nods*
Trump demoted both the highest-ranking military officer in the United States, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the highest-ranking intelligence officer in the United States, the director of national intelligence.
Now, those officials will be invited to the table only when their specific expertise is seen to be required.
A president who has no national security experience and can use all the advice he can get has decided to limit their input he receives from two of the most important advisers any president could have.
And does that in favor of some idiot whose experience is 7 years in the navy...and Breitbart.com, with its racist, misogynist and Islamophobic perspectives, and his avowed desire to blow up our system of government, suggests this is someone who not only has no business being a permanent member of the most powerful consultative body in the world, he has no business being in a position of responsibility in any government.

This stinks shit and is close to being criminal...
