Thank god its mostly the moderate parties that form government coalitions over here.
I voted for Obama twice. What did we get?

Price of Nexium in Canada: $30. Price of Nexium in US: $305. Donations to 'Progressive' Corey Booker: $287,000. We got a weak leader who couldn't stand up to big pharma.

I honestly could give less of a shit whether you voted for Obama or not.

The president is supposed to be a "weak" leader. That's the idea of presidency is about: the president is a part of the government, who lets all branches of the government do their job. It is not a king or a fuhrer - even though Trump is desperately trying to play both.

Obama tried to stand up to "big pharma", but the Congress blocked a lot of his propositions - as it was supposed to. Would you rather have Obama assassinate all the congressmen and push his policies through unchallenged?

Out of idle curiosity how has he shown to be a strong leader? I mean it's possible our definitions are different.

Generally I would think a strong leader would show decent amount of intelligence, honesty, thick skinned, courage etc.

Trump pretty much has done the opposite of all of these since becoming president.

Trump more than any other president has challenged the authority of the corporate media. Obama could have used the office to shame the drug companies and other special interests but chose not to.

That's exactly the 4chanist attitude that got him elected.

Yelling, "You are fake! You are fake! You are fake!", is not challenging anyone's authority, it is making a fool out of oneself.

As for the "strong" part... He didn't even manage to secure a face-to-face negotiation with the Mexican president. The guy from a clearly inferior and subservant country said, "Nope", and that was it. All Trump managed to find to respond with is make a petty Twitter post. This is strength how?

Trump on drug prices: Pharma companies are ‘getting away with murder’.
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.89183c985564

How many politicians are courageous enough to say that? Other than Sanders not many.

I don't know, I don't follow any particular politicians. What is courageous about it though? This is what courage really looks like:

Wait a minute. I thought Republicans were all about the Free Market and that Free Market forces/competition would benefit the consumer. And that any government interference into regulating businesses and their profits was Socialism.

I guess that's out the window?

Doesn't appear to be a politician. Looks like a schizophrenic wierdo. Hopefully the CCP got him appropriate mental health treatment.

China did a tremendous job pacifying Tiananmen Square anarchy.

The Republican party isn't the party of Reagan anymore. It's the party of National Populism now.

Hmm, maybe we should ship this guy here (assuming he is still alive) and make him our president, and ship Trump, you and other "strong people" to China then.

    So you condone this:
    *snipped*

The only footage of deaths during the "Tiananmen Square massacre" is two dead chinese soldiers.
If German protests against refugees ended in charred bodies being hung from buses then I'm pretty sure they'd call in the military to quash it.

Refrain from posting pictures of corpses

Challenged the authority of the corporate media...okay so what?
Seriously so what? Am I supposed to be impressed that he tweets the media has been mean to him? I mean if he actually just ignored the media and did his job (intelligently) I wouldn't care, instead he whines with the ferocity of a 5 year old because he doesn't like the actual facts being reported and actually has to have his subordinates make up shit to try and make what is in his head reality.

The OP in this thread informs you that the president of the US just reduced the role of two of the most knowledgeable men in the country in the National Security Council and simultaneously puts in place a man in the council who has zero qualifications as an adviser, worse this 'adviser' used to run his own media outlet known for producing some of the biggest loads of crap out there, full of unsubstantiated rumors and 'fake news'.

Yet you write that Trump is a strong leader....

Also why the hell are you bringing up Obama? Get over it, he's gone I'm sorry he didn't do everything you wanted him to do or the way you wanted him to do, hell I didn't vote for Obama either time, Obama's gone, open your eyes to what the hell Trump is doing, cause I got news for you he doesn't have any normal citizen's best interest at heart.

The exact composition of The National Security Council shifts from administration to administration. Much ado about nothing.
Honestly, the CIA should have less influence on the president.
