Not really. But at the end of the day, the greatest protection that the US has against the rise of a dictator are individuals fighting for what is morally right and just. Systematically removing this protection lays the framework for someone with authoritarian ideals, which Trump certainly has, to turn the country into an authoritarian state should the people let him do so.

I'm curious, in what realm does scrapping wall street regulation like Dodd Frank, gutting environmental protections against coal byproducts poisoning drinking water, and nominating oligarchs into public positions make Trump objectively better than Clinton? I don't like Clinton, she had plenty of shitty positions that made me an actual american revile her. but on things like climate change, wall street, and our trade agreements (baring TPP) I was certain under her those things would not go careening into a ditch.
