BS, when was the last time you saw police men in a motorcross jacket or with tattoos on there arms?
This rule puts religious ppl on the same level as non beleavers.

Well those police officers should be allowed to wear that stuff.

Everyone should be allowed to wear what they want to wear in the workplace.

I think it's in a round about good idea, of course things like the turban and jihab are fine in my opinion and should be allowed to stay. It's just the burqa veils them, which for some doesn't feel right to them. I understand the premise but I wonder if it's more they are happy to wear one?
I haven't really seen an opinion come from those that do wear them and personally not seen anyone in them to ask for theirs, even then it's not exactly a one-stop conversation in the middle of the street.

But then how would you identify who is a policeman and who isn't? Or anyone of importance you need to define and speak to? That's what uniform does. Are you going to feel comfortable when you got something serious and the person you're talking to is just in a part of shorts? I don't think so haha.
It's like uniform in say your local supermarket, you need help, you going to ask 20 people first before you just give up?

There should be a form of code but I do have to say a complete ban on all religious attire is a bit nuts, just keep it so that the face isn't covered really.

So an employer shouldn't be able to send someone home if they turn up in a gimp suit?

    Police men shouldn't wear uniforms.

A uniform is a symbol of power over women and the disadvantaged.

What? You forget that there are women in those uniforms too? That's the most silly thing I heard. And yes, Policemen does include Policewomen as a plural just before you try to defer it on grounds of sexual premise. Just are much as Chefs include both male and female counterparts as a means of plural.

A uniform is not a symbol unless you empower it with an opinion of one. A uniform in a supermarket does not make you more powerful than the bloody shopper either.

    Indeed.

It's a form of hate and prejudice otherwise.

Oh boy, it's a "MMO-C posters get baited by a new reg with less than 30 posts" episode.

    Why not?

Is there supposed to be something wrong in that photograph?

All I see is a happy man?

You don't see anything wrong with wearing shoes like that to a beach?

It's too bad you're doing what you're doing here, instead of taking the discussion seriously. The issue a serious one.

Calling something what it is isn't a personal attack.

    That's a matter of opinion.
