We went to a nice bar a few weeks ago that turned me on to 3 Floyd's Cimmerian Sabertooth Berzerker.

Rather bitter, but I kinda like the dryness/grapefruit-like finish.

Oh that's not true. My country (Germany) is still Beer-nation #1 :P We have a lot of excellent beer and also a wide variation. They just don't get names like over there in the US.

Icicle brewing dark persuasion is a fantastic porter

Someone mentioned the Trappist's beer and McEwans Scotch Ale, good choices.

But I gotta say we make great beer in Canada, Québec. Any Unibroue beer is awesome.

Tripel Karmeliet is an excellent beer. These are also good alternatives:

If there is like 30+ degrees - any beer will do.

In all other cases craft beers, for example:

Unpopular opinions to the foreigners here but American beer is the best in the world now.
Belgian here... I second that, well, kinda. Lots of Europeans doing a bang up job too (hazy NEIPA) like Stigbergets and Mikkeller (san diego brewery, hops are cheaper see )
    My top would be:
    Swish
    Anything Tree House
    Heady/Crusher/focal
    Trillium.
I had some Other Half and could try Konkey Dong, those were amazing too.
But the one to beat at the moment imo is Swish.
Trying to get my hands on some Monkish ipa goodness...
Anyone here trades beer? I have tons of cantillon ;-)

Just want to add though, your trappist sucks ;-)

Not too bad... I'm not into brown beers mostly too sweet.
If you like triple; try Vox Populi - Anna (new world triple, Canadian) probably the best I ever had...

Tripel karmeliet is way too sweet. To even compare it to Orval is sacrilege... You can't compare a brett beer with that sweet ass junk.

If I'm buying it to chill at home, usually some Warsteiner. If I'm out at the bar or restaurant, i'll usually just get basic shit like Coors Light so I can cheaply drink n drink n drink n drink and never get drunk - if I want that, i'll add some shots in.

Magic Hat #9. Its a great beer for any season.

Second favorite is Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. But that is a beer I prefer to have on nice warm days.

I'm not really a beer, or alcohol, person in general, but i do like this,

Hard to choose a favorite, but I usually like a flavorful dark beer or a bourbon style beer. Sprecher (made in Milwaukee) makes some damn good beer. New Glarus makes some pretty good stuff but I think it's only available in Wisconsin.

I drink my fair share of Miller Lite being from Milwaukee, but that is very low tier beer. It's piss water compared to actually good beer.
