Obama is about as much a socialist as Clinton is warmonger: employing common sense with regards to education and healthcare is just being a reasonable person. That said, he is quite foolish when it comes to the external policies: "Let me hug all the dictators, and they will turn to the Light Side"; he got burned on it many times (Russia, Lybia, Iran, Venezuela), and yet kept charging in.

Sanders is another matter, that guy is just plain dangerous. He supported Soviet Union with passion at the time, and it doesn't seem like much has changed. Still, compared to what we got in the end, he looks like a vanguard of sanity.

Um, FDR wanted universal healthcare back when he was president. He just unfortunately died before he could push for it. Look at his Workers' Bill of Rights.

Medicare and Social Security are 2 of the most well liked policies in this country's history.

My state of California had tuition-free colleges for in state students until that piece of shit Reagan was governor. Reagan... Always ruining something.

Bernie is nothing new to US politics. People like him have just been pushed out as US politics have marched ever to the right as corporations gained more and more control. So insanely far to the right. Obama sure as fuck wasn't a socialist, he was center-right. That's how crazy far to the right the US has gotten since Reagan, we don't even have a left political party anymore.

Also, Bernie is a Democratic Socialist, which is similar to what those evil socialist European countries are, not whatever place your relatives left.

And Cuba is Communist, not Socialist, and it was long past time that we fix relations with them.

That the majority of voters are idiots.
Appreciate your time with friends and family while they're here. Don't wait until they're gone to tell them what they mean to you.

In the meantime, Trump has very close relations with Saudi Arabia and Russia, both of which are way worse than Cuba when it comes to governance and/or human rights, but somehow, such inconvenient facts don't seem to even bat your eyelid.

I guess to you, even the slightest mention of socialism is more than enough to strike so far fear in your heart to ignore the threat of religious extremism and tyranny.

Well I didn't vote for him, so no.

In hindsight though, I guess I should have said "that I think the majority of voters are idiots".

Not so much about myself but about certain members of my family, I realize now they will probably never take responsibility or admit that they are wrong, or might have made a bad choice, instead they will always have a series of lies, deflections, half truths, obstructions ready to throw out at any given situation or debate, along with a shit ton of blame passing.

As blunt and awful as this may seem, this part of my family in particular is also significantly older and sickly, so they don't have much longer to pick their silly political fights at gatherings, or spit (and I mean literally spit) on those that don't agree with them, or on those who ask them to stop.

They were particularly brutal, nasty, and spiteful over this election cycle, it showed me a lot about them.

I guess in a roundabout way, Trump and his election showed me just what I'll tolerate and what I won't from my extended family.

This is the thing for me. If you asked me in 90s how a Trump presidency would go, I could have predicted it. How were people conned? It's unreal.

Lol I'm aware that trump is in bed with Saudis I'm also aware that almost all presidents have been in bed saudis. Heck Bush was in bed with Osamas until 9/11. My issue is more specifically that people don't realize governments will lie to the outside world. My mother's family more specifically speaking left cuba in 70's because of the abuse and treatment that they experienced for being against the opposition. Cuba is socialist people call it communist as way to legitimize a paper and pen theory like(Laissez- faire)capitalism. But anyway I'll gladly point errors trump makes just as equally with Obama. Like for instance I'm non-interventionist republican I believe we should let Europe deal with Syria since it happened under their watch. Otherwise we have no reason to be their at all.

The majority of the country figured all that out during the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama.

Community Organizer, who regularly met with a convicted terrorist, who regularly attended church services at an anti-white, racially charged church.

Obama was literally the bottom of the barrel.

If you think the 2nd amendment was going anywhere with any of Obama's picks (who were all very solidly center, not liberal) shows just how detached from reality you really are.
The judges that liberals pick always go left. ALWAYS. You never know when the right picks at what they're thinking. Look at Seuter who George H. picked. He went completely left. Then Roberts with his back flip Obamacare is a tax when it obviously said "penalty" on it. You always know how leftist will vote on the SC.

Welcome to America where anything left of tea party and alt-right is considered leftist.

Maybe Republicans should stop being shit at vetting their nominees? Or it could have something to do with Republicans nominating 9 of the 13 justices in the past 50 years.

The record could be 12 of the last 16 judges in 3 or 4 years.

How much I hate idiots/psychos with money. Also how truly bullshit the Electoral College is, on top of the entire "democracy" we have in general.
Still wondering why I play this game.
