Were you not around day 1 7.2? It was fucking atrocious. 1 hour of content, iLvl scaling to the extreme (which was an outright lie and STEALTH PATCH CHANGE), literally nothing to do after your small 1 hour.
3 weeks later, this hasn't really been fixed, but at least we have flying now. You'll see numbers rise when LFR ToS starts to come out and when 7.2.5 gets closer to release as well.
Still wondering why I play this game.
I'm a Rogue and I also made a spreadsheet for the Order Hall that is updated for BfA.
It's rather difficult to trust unofficial numbers, but the patch is rolling out very slowly though and didn't bring much in case of content when it came out.
Warcraftrealms was correct all the time during MoP and WoD. It cannot give you exact numbers but the trends were always spot on.

Yea great idea gating a patch for 2-3 months.
How can it be a big patch when 3/4 of the content is not even here at release?
I can't say they don't deserve it, its also why they don't reveal sub numbers. 7.2 just feels completely lacking in interesting stuff to do, for most of the part it is just more world quests in a new ugly zone.
I would love for actual sub numbers to get leaked somehow. Didn't they say that they had 10 million subs again at the start of Legion? I have a feeling that this number would be down to 2-3 million at best at the moment.
Well they didn't really add much at all in this patch so it isn't really surprising, everyone in the guild logged in did the little there was to do and then logged out most didn't log back on. Really nothing going on this patch so yep fun stuff.
Activity levels are collected by players with an add on.
This is almost universally only downloaded and used by hardcore players on large realms, the sort of player who logs on to raid. If hardcores aren't playing as much then it will show lower numbers but it doesn't mean much.
Theres plenty of servers that don't even have any data recorded.

Oh boy this tired old thread again.
That argument is nothing but a strawman. Even if you had an entire day of content to play through, the next day you would still be here and whine about nothing to do. One week of content? Still be here a week later. Its literally impossible to produce enough solo quest content to keep people playing all the time, thats not what an MMO is about - its repeatable and group/raid content that defines end-game.
I'm curious, why is monk the least played class? I thought they were pretty cool
So correct it reports every realm...oh wait. And what even is the point of this thread? Does it matter if the subs are 2 million or 10 million? Does it stop you from enjoying the game? Or does it just have you rush to the forums to crow about how WoW is dying...just like it has been dying for years, amirite?
WoW is Dying MAN , WTF .
2-3 millions subs ? More like 5-6 .
