That's all you need to know to ignore that person's insane ramblings.
Factcheck.org is a lot better they go after policies and issue. Political facts heavily relies on statements by comparison.

Which would have been a fine time to fire him.

But to do so because he started investigating you after you praise him for his prior service makes it fishy as fuck. Which is why people are saying "uh.. what the FUCK?". Not because Comey isn't slime, but because firing slime because it's investigating your swamp is corrupt as hell.

Here are 10 of Comey's biggest embarrassments at the FBI:

    1. Before he bombed the Boston Marathon, the FBI interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev but let him go. Russia sent the Obama Administration a second warning, but the FBI opted against investigating him again.

    2. Shortly after the NSA scandal exploded in 2013, the FBI was exposed conducting its own data mining on innocent Americans; the agency, Bloomberg reported, retains that material for decades (even if no wrongdoing is found).

    3. The FBI had possession of emails sent by Nidal Hasan saying he wanted to kill his fellow soldiers to protect the Taliban -- but didn't intervene, leading many critics to argue the tragedy that resulted in the death of 31 Americans at Fort Hood could have been prevented.

    4. During the Obama Administration, the FBI claimed that two private jets were being used primarily for counterterrorism, when in fact they were mostly being used for Eric Holder and Robert Mueller's business and personal travel.

    5. When the FBI demanded Apple create a "backdoor" that would allow law enforcement agencies to unlock the cell phones of various suspects, the company refused, sparking a battle between the feds and America's biggest tech company. What makes this incident indicative of Comey's questionable management of the agency is that a) The FBI jumped the gun, as they were indeed ultimately able to crack the San Bernardino terrorist's phone, and b) Almost every other major national security figure sided with Apple (from former CIA Director General Petraeus to former CIA Director James Woolsey to former director of the NSA, General Michael Hayden), warning that such a "crack" would inevitably wind up in the wrong hands.

    6. In 2015, the FBI conducted a controversial raid on a Texas political meeting, finger printing, photographing, and seizing phones from attendees (some in the group believe in restoring Texas as an independent constitutional republic).

    7. During its investigation into Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified material, the FBI made an unusual deal in which Clinton aides were both given immunity and allowed to destroy their laptops.

    8. The father of the radical Islamist who detonated a backpack bomb in New York City in 2016 alerted the FBI to his son's radicalization. The FBI, however, cleared Ahmad Khan Rahami after a brief interview.

    9. The FBI also investigated the terrorist who killed 49 people and wounded 53 more at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Fla. Despite a more than 10-month investigation of Omar Mateen -- during which Mateen admitting lying to agents -- the FBI opted against pressing further and closed its case.

    10. CBS recently reported that when two terrorists sought to kill Americans attending the "Draw Muhammad" event in Garland, Texas, the FBI not only had an understanding an attack was coming, but actually had an undercover agent traveling with the Islamists, Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi. The FBI has refused to comment on why the agent on the scene did not intervene during the attack.

    Mark Dice weighs in...

... showing us how frantic and bewildered the media class is over the firing of an FBI director that they blamed six months ago for Trump's win.

Related note: Senate Russia investigators ask Treasury for Trump team financial information
Senate Russia investigators have sent a request to the Treasury Department's criminal investigation division for any information related to President Donald Trump, his top officials and his campaign aides.
Warner added that until the Treasury Department responds with documents, that he will withhold his support for Trump's nominee to oversee terrorism and financial at the Treasury Department, Sigal Mandelker.
"Chairman Burr and I requested that information -- until we get it, I'm not going to support the administration's nominee for undersecretary of Treasury finance, for terrorism and finance, because they owe us these documents first," Warner said.

Then one would have thought Trump would fire him immediately, just like he should have done with Flynn. Clearly, Comey's past actions weren't the impetus for his firing, or it would have been done much sooner.

Sally Yates was on her way out, as was normal. Same with Preet, verbal assurances notwithstanding. It's not really accurate to string those three names together to make a case that Trump is firing people left and right who challenge him.

Can you find an example? A lot of the right wing posters are immune to self reflection on this forum.

Well, since they were fired... yes it is. It was all about the timing.

There are certainly legitimate reasons for him to be let go: the issue now is the timing. The reasons they gave were all completely applicable 100 days ago- so why now?

In any case, firing the person that is investigating your own campaign is never good optics.

no. Just like the RINO Susan Collins said, the investigation is being done by thousands of foot soldiers. Comey is just the director. Its no big deal for him to be gone

If you think Donald Trump will never win the presidency. Oh, shit, fuck, that was like 6 months ago. Sorry. Can't take anything liberals say seriously.

They dont have the solid evidence like the clinton emails.

Hey FBI. If the emails are sooooo hackable why dont u do a russian sting operation and hack their government. Oh wait its cuz you know if you did there would be serious repercussions. Its the same reason Russia would not openly hack the US. The US government is just mad that Russia pulled a fast one. Some hacker group hacked shit sold it to Russia. Russia dug through the mess and gave them the important stuff and the group released it to the public. So FBI or CIA go fucking do the same and stop crying over spilled milk.
There are likely already two sealed indictments working their way through the courts as reported in another thread, as of last friday.

Yeah, that would take astronomical levels of stupidity. I wonder if Trump is really that unfathomably stupid, or if Trump feels secure in regards to Russian allegations.

I wish I could fire the police officer who is investigating me for armed robbery.
