If a woman doesn't want to shave that's her right; just as it's my right to view her as disgusting for not doing so

There's not much point in trying to understand it - it doesn't make any sense. I mean, personal taste is one thing, and if someone thinks it looks bad, that's okay. But calling it "not taking care of themselves" or "disgusting" etc. is pretty odd considering that most (not all!) who say such things probably don't shave their armpits either.

I find it gross myself. But like anything "in the eye of the beholder" it's about sex appeal.
Similar to an obese woman who may feel great about herself, but tries to chat up a guy who just happens to be with a gorgeous woman with an hourglass figure...she needs a dose of reality if she wants to compete. (And is there any woman out there that isn't that socially aware? Because there are plenty of times when a woman is checking other women out to see how socially competitive they are)
Sure, some guys may not give a fig one way or another, or some may find hairy armpits as attractive, but that isn't usually the case.

I don't personally find it attractive, but women are free to do what they want. Women don't have some sort of intrinsic responsiblity to be attractive in my, or anyone else's eyes.

your analogy is lacking because plenty of men prefer larger women. hourglass figure isn't the only body style that is attractive.

It's not really a big deal. If she doesn't want to shave her armpits then that's fine, but the flip side is that they can't just expect people to treat them as if it's not there. My main problem is that a lot of em choose not to shave it and then expect to be allowed to wear sleeveless clothes at work or that they get offended when men say they aren't attracted to it. Men don't wear clothes that show their armpit hair at work and don't get all offended when for example, a woman says that she likes her men clean shaven. Same rules apply.

What exactly is gross? Armpit hair? If so, then why isn't your armpit hair gross? Why is it only gross on women, when it grows naturally on us both?

Anyone hitting on someone they know is "taken" would be inappropriate, but I fail to grasp how that has any similarity to a woman choosing not to shave. "Obese" is a medical condition that results from a certain lifestyle, but body hair is as naturally occurring as fingernails or head hair - again, I fail to see the relation you're trying to make.
she needs a dose of reality if she wants to compete.
Compete?! Compete for what? Your attention? That's mighty presumptuous of you. The way we express our bodies is meant to appeal to those who are appealing to us. As the old saying goes, those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter.

Personal preference I assume. Do you like moustache on women?

I find that generally people are attracted to the traits and parts of the opposite gender that are different from their own.

Full mustaches don't naturally grow on both men and women. But you didn't answer my question. Why are some things only considered gross on one gender, when it is naturally-occurring in both genders? The answer is social conditioning. No, not brainwashing, and it isn't coordinated. It simply means that the representations of beauty commonly seen today are of completely shaven women.

I mean think about any commercial for women's razors. The woman drags a razor over her freshly-waxed leg because Americans are so fucking triggered by body hair on women. And don't even get me started on where that fetish comes from. For hundreds of years men could get it up just fine for their hairy women and we successfully reproduced as a species. I think the immaturity of the average male shows in their obsession with the pre-pubescent female.

My analogy wasn't generalized. It focused upon one person's taste, which one woman refused to notice.

You only read what you want don't you? Not taking the post in context...*tsk tsk* What part of "sex appeal" did you refuse to understand? Maybe it was the words "eye of the beholder?"

Maybe you should have given some thought to reading the whole post rather than be so selective and take things out of context...

Yes they do. Not on all women (or men for the matter), but many get full moustache. Are you saying it's unnatural?

Personal taste? For the same reason women might think a short skirt looks good on them but thinks that it looks disgusting on her husband.

If a woman has armpit hair beyond stubble then chances are she also has an uncontrolled jungle which goes well and beyond my love of being in the bush.

I'm sure some find it attractive but I find it a little too primitive and consider it a pretty big turn off.

If it still appears she's wearing a dark bikini bottom...yeah...I'm probably going to be running out the door myself.

very few like larger women and in my country they get bullied

I literally could not care less.

Well, if everyone shaves their armpits, society thinks its disgusting to have armpit hair. If everyone keeps it, society thinks arm pit hair is normal.
Seems like these women are doing us a favor in the long run. Less work and one less thing we need to obsess over.
Our current definition of normal hygene is mostly spawned by companies trying to sell more hygene articles than anyone could reasonably need anyways, so I dont think there is a lot of value in keeping it.

For some guys their (dis)likes when it comes to sex are the centerpiece of how other people should behave or look on a day to day basis. "Me, me, me!" boys to stay the fuck away from.

Some women even opt for labiaplasty because some guys believe it doesnt look attractive if its not a porn pussy.
