I've done all the trouble shooting tips for D2 on Windows 10.

At one point, I got so angry I just keep starting it up again and my screen zoomed in each time it crashed.

On the third crash, D2 worked.

What the heck is happening here.

I'm asking here because Blizzard has given up trying to trouble shoot D2 on windows 10.

If someone knows why it works on the third try, I may be able to keep it from crashing in general.

I have W10 and can play D2 just fine. Saying 'it crashed' doesn't really tell us anything.

Are you playing in full screen or windowed mode? If one is failing, try the other.
Are you running it in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode?
Have you tried forcing 3dfx mode? Granted I have no idea if this is even possible with 1.14.

These are the steps I followed.
I switched monitors and it works the first time I open it now.
