ITT: conservatives getting mad because they couldn't read that CA is not banning interstate travel but just simply removing state sponsorships for travel to certain states.

I find the same thing equally as interesting. I find it symptomatic of the GOP war on education. They keep cutting it, making people dumber, which gets more GOP votes.

So much hate for California. Prove your hate for them by living in a state that does not rely on California money.

You already get most of your food from California.
LOL this isn't even true. Have you taken a look at Austin's city skyline lately? Or maybe North Dallas along the Tollways and US-75??

Or do you want to talk about the mass exodus of commifornicans moving to Texas?

Yes and us local Texans are aware of this. Dallas county went blue and Austin is now a liberal stronghold.

That person you quoted was wrong to state texas was a leech, but plenty of other states basically need California to exist. Same with Texas and NY. They literally need the big 3 to exist.

Yep number 1,2, and 3 economies in the US.

I am curious as to how much government funding CA receives on basis and how that factors into their economy. I need to do some research.

To be fair, Austin has been blue since I've been allowed to vote.

Dallas turning completely blue was a shocker for me these past 10 years. But its happened.

Population south of I-30 has grown A LOT.

1-30 is the poverty line in Dallas. Tarrant County (Ft. Worth) WILL NEVER BE BLUE. Too many cowboys out that way.

Last I checked, Cali, Texas, and NY all receive less than they give. Also if all 3 broke off the US, Cali, Texas, and NY would be in the top 10 economies world wide. NY might be a tad off at 11th or 12th depending.

Crazy thing to think about it Texas hasn't even used all of its land. West Texas is pretty much desolate.

Yeah, even if Dallas, Austin, Houston and San An, go blue, the rest of the state will still be solid red come election time.

Yep. Lots of Californian in Texas. My daughter is one of them. She owns an export/import company with warehouses and showrooms in Houston and Dallas, and she is also doing a mixed used residential development in the northern part of Houston. We even put some money in that. To her mother's disappointment, she is a Democrat through and through.

The use of the words “California’s poor” in the title of this Dallas News’ article is ironic.

This sentence in the article is also telling “The jobs with the biggest net loss of California workers to other states*were cashiers, cooks, truck drivers, material movers, retail sales reps and customer service reps, according to the Bee's analysis.”

Like I stated in the previous post(s), CA been losing low wage workers and businesses to TX, but the not the high end workers and businesses. CA still tower over TX when it comes to startups and new patent inventions (even if we go by per 1,000 working age adults criteria).

While true, the reason is because of housing. Which if you haven't seen at the moment that Houston, DFW, and Austin housing markets are absolutely insane.

Once housing is fixed you will see a trend that includes higher skilled workers.
