Exclamation A couple questions about hot sauce

    What's your go-to sauce?

Do you refrigerate it after opening?

Do you put it on everything?

Cholula all the way. So so good. I keep it in the fridge, but it doesn't have to be. As a vegetarian I need to squeeze out all the taste veggies give me. I use it on literally everything. Also, nutritional yeast flakes are awesome too.

Edit: I've heard it obviously tastes great on meat as well.

I am gonna second the Cholula - LOVE that sauce. I do not refrigerate it.

I am not big on the so-hot-it-makes-me-cry-and-my-ass-burn. Cholula has just a bit of heat, just the right amount for me.

Oh wow, there's a ton of flavors too! Which do you usually go for?

    Original.

I have tried the Chili Lime and Chipotle, but for me I like the original the best.

I used to put Tabasco sauce on a lot of stuff as a kid... I haven't had any in years, though, no idea why I stopped.

We have a few bushes at ny grandparents house in Florida that grow our own peppers. We cut those peppers up into our food sometimes, but we also grind it up with some other stuff to make our own pepper sauce.

I hate buying sauce bottles from the store, they always end up being salty.

Tapitio, and I typically just keep it in one of my cabinets. Pretty much everything gets covered with it

I use all of the following where they make sense:

    Tabasco
    Franks's
    Sriracha
    Red Chili Peppers
    Gochujang (ㄱㅗ추 ㅈㅏㅇ Korean)

I don't put them on everything, but in quite a few dishes.

    Louisiana Hot Sauce, on everything.

Well, I have a bottle of Poppamies Scorpion in my fridge right now. Scovilles are around 350-400K I believe. I feel like a lot of the the "hot" sauces listed in this thread are anything but hot.

I think we had a thread earlier this year on this very topic that you might want to read, I don't think the refrigerated question was asked, but I know a lot of different sauces were thrown around.

As for my favorite, on everything from tacos, to nachos, to chili and more-
