How dare people have different opinions! Also, yes, I play HotS all the time. So try again. Blizzard has even said that a core thought process that goes into heroes, along with niche filling and play style, is keeping true to the character.

No, they are not. Arms and Fury Warriors are not tanks.

Garrosh is neither one of them, it's only your PC who can be arms, fury or protection. Garrosh is a lore character, they are not limited by specialisations and gameplay

I'm ok with him being a tank but having no Iron Horde or Sha themed abilities is a bit boring. The ults at least should have been, because they are exceptionally dull. A glorified whirlwind and a better version of Varian's? Come on now.

Hearthstone powers are about the class not the specific hero. The hero is just a an icon.

Also taunt makes sense, Garrosh pisses people off and challenges them.

Garrosh has never once been a defender-kind of character. He's never used a shield. He's never been protecting other people. He's never done anything but be in the middle of the fray attacking people with Gorehowl.

Also taunt makes sense, Garrosh pisses people off and challenges them.

I don't have a problem with taunt thematically but mechanically, since it literally is just Protection-Varian's ultimate, but better.

Wow Garrosh looks INCREDIBLY boring. How exceptionally disappointing. Not even a sha-skin. They literally had a template of how to make him not just another "Warcraft Warrior" and they instead just do it.

No Iron Star/Sha ultimates. His taunt ultimate is just a slightly shorter, but way better due to AOE, one that Varian has. How inspired. Garrosh is less of a tank hero lorewise than Varian is, so it makes no sense that he'd be a warrior. They really, really phoned it in for this hero.

Even with my problems with HotS usually most of their heroes are different and/or interesting. This seems like a hero they made during beta instead of this long post-release.

This is exactly why I was hoping he wouldn't be added for awhile, if at all. I just knew he'd end up with a really boring kit which wouldn't have justified its own hero. They could have done a lot more (Iron Horde/Sha-corruption for his abilities) but I just knew they'd go with a basic warrior on so they could give him a Grom skin (unless they decide to give that to Samuro, since Grom was a bladewalker in WC3).

He fucking lobs his teammates and enemies into the fray, decimates enemies, heals HIMSELF, armours up HIMSELF (and i can't stress this enough - armour IS THE WARRIORS THING, they wear fucking PLATE, they are tanky BY DEFINITION)

Which is why Garrosh should have been made with the Sha angle in mind, since not only is that incredibly appropriate for his character (He spent an entire expansion obsessing over it and ultimately it causing his downfall and, after being chased down from his escape, his death), but its not just another boring melee warrior character. Which Garrosh is.

just explain to me how taking 40% less damage just because you are a warrior (read: armoured) is not tanky by definition?

They could change Armor Up to something like Ignore Pain\Numbness\Never Surrender\Defensive Stance and it wouldn't change anything. So we have Hearthstone reference.

And who even cares about ability names, it's just Q, W, E, Ult, Trait, etc.

Besides Garrosh is clearly an "Ultimate Warrior", he has Protection role with Arms weapon and talents and Fury abilities.

I saw him being rather boring at first, but he does have 2 displacing abilities, both seemingly difficult to pull off well. I think he could be relatively fun and rewarding to play.

That is the most stupid thing you can do Especially when you pull up stuff like "SHA WAS A BIG PART OF HIS DOWNFALL" no it wasnt.

His kit is fine so far, havent seen talents and stuff so cant complain.
