Car ploughs through protesters at Charlottesville Alt-Right rally

One of the counter-protesters threw a rock (big surprise, right?) and the car swerved into the crowd. That's why there were 3 cars involved, it wasn't a purposeful "I am gonna take my nice-ass car and go to a rally where I can run into some people, back up, and run away."

This. That car was actually a fairly nice looking car. I don't think they actually would take a car like that and just do that damage that ended up happening to it.

You do know there's video of the incident right? This car wasn't just swerving to miss rocks being thrown at it. It was hauling ass down a street filled with protesters.

Yeah, local reports are that the vehicle was stolen as well. The owner apparently drove to join the counter protesters (which matches the Facebook information being spread on Reddit) and had his vehicle stolen during the event.
